Unrelated, but something maybe relevant and appreciated here? My wife and I have decided to do traditional anniversary gifts for one another as opposed to contemporary, and the first anniversary theme is paper. Well, my LCS had a reward program that gave you "back issue bucks" which are effectively gift certificates toward any old comic - be it in a bin or on the wall. I had been saving for years and loosely talking about one day saving up enough for a killer classic comic to one day frame and hang up somewhere, but I could never decide on what to do. Well, sneaky little minx that she is, she raided my stash and went to my LCS where a good buddy worked, and together they conspired and got me a milestone of Spidey. This is awesome on so many levels. |

There's a shade of gray in this request, but I would humbly ask that we not attack Jonah personally when discussing CBR. Technically, his decisions are CBR's decisions, but personal attacks may cause negative attention from CBR that we don't need and even opens the door to allegations of libel. There's plenty of reason to feel frustrated and angry with the things that have gone down (and apparently still are), but ultimately our not getting along with CBR will cause us more problems than it will cause them. Captain, Like I said... water under the bridge. It's past. I like it here and wish to cause no ill will towards anyone.  |

I've never spent more than 15 minutes at a DMV in my life. Must be an East Coast thing.

It's in the middle of Manhattan, this office was a block away from Madison Sq Garden.If I arrived at 9AM,I would have avoided the lunch time crowd-who obviously didn't report back to work that afternoon By the way,afterwards I took a stroll to visit Jim Hanley's Comic Universe.They used to be located across the street from the Empire State Building in a huge location for over 25 years.Now they moved 2 blocks but to a store less than half the size.They got rid of all of their back issues and most of their toys |

The local DMV actually is pretty efficient since you can now register for appointments online and save the hassle of sitting in the waiting room or in a line for hours.

DMV wise the one place I lived in Virginia was like a hell hole for waiting in line. If you got there at 10 or 11am , you were gonna be there past 1pm. You might as well bring a lunch and some books to read.

I just got my license renewal, and I did not even have to leave the house.
They sent me a Safe Driver letter(jokes on them, I only drove maybe twice in all of last year) and said I just need to pay money on line and they sent me a new driver's license.

Its $15, you can taste them as many times as you want, and they usually have like 30 different wines to choose from. Everyone gets smashed, its always a good time. Vacation is only two days away! |
