Not happy with CBR this morning. I go there to check comic news, and one of their rotating headlines (so I couldn't avoid it) was a massive spoiler about a character apparently dying (with a picture of the character) in the Earth 2: Worlds End weekly series. I've been saving it up to read in sequence, so I'm way behind on this, but now I know already. I didn't read the article, because I was trying to avoid spoilers, but they made it impossible to miss.

I don't go there anymore for that reason alone and believe me I hate Spoilers more than anything else in the world and believe me it's the worst practice for anyone here to do. The problem with spoilers that they tempt you with information that you do not want and having said that I do not want to know until I watch a show, read a comic book, and anything else along that line. Comic Book Resources (CBR) in one hour that I was in that site last year pops up 3 spoilers and I was mad for reading them and it's literally forced me to not to watch an Arrow Show twice because they spoiled all the fun and so forth. What you said at the end; makes a lot of sense to me and I applaud you for saying it. I don't trust CBR anymore!

I did look at the preview and the panel shown is not what it appears to be and doesn't spoil the end of the issue, it is the set up from the previous issue that gets resolved in the pages previewed... -M

As long as I don't know for sure, I'm much happier. Thanks.

Let's not forget, fellas, that we've been asked not to bad-mouth CBR or other boards here. Cei-U! I summon the gentle reminder! I agree, of course, and didn't mean any slander on their site. Just disappointed with what they appeared to be spoiling. Which thanks to MRP, may not actually be spoiled at all. Happy day!

Rediscovered one of my favorite quotes by R. Buckmisnter Fuller this evening, hence new signature time... “Humans beings always do the most intelligent thing…after they’ve tried every stupid alternative and none of them have worked” ― Buckminster Fuller That's very similar to a quote that I've seen attributed to Winston Churchill, but research by the Quote Investigator traced it instead to Israeli diplomat Abba Eban: "...men and nations do behave wisely once they have exhausted all other alternatives." quoteinvestigator.com/2012/11/11/exhaust-alternatives/

Regarding my previous views of CBR - I'm not complaining about the board/forum there - but the web-site in general. Nothing more and nothing less. I haven't visited it in 2 weeks because of the spoilers that they constantly bombard from time to time. Sorry everyone for my misunderstanding of the issue.

Oh boy that is awful. Any chance of cancellation of work? Or late opening? No chance. The Post office sends you out no matter what. Not here. We've gone more than a day or two with no delivery during and in the aftermath of a storm. I didn't think they stuck to the "gloom of night " slogan if safety were an issue.

And Tomorrow the Post Office is closed for the day. This is more because the Governor called a state of emergency for Tuesday and the airports are closed than anything the postal system decided. Yipeeeeeeeeee !!!!!

Growing up in Iowa I know what blizzards are like.
All of our friends in the northeast hunker down and be safe.
Read some comics and relax.
I used to like storms for that exact reason.

This is why I love the west coast. In particular the bay area here in California. There is always something happening on the east coast every few months. Whether it's people getting blown up or some really bad weather incident.

Brother if it gives you comfort its 30 degrees here today, um thats 86 in American. Middle of a heatwave, actually more turning into a drought. Hell we're rural and I had to have water delivered a week ago, its gone from $165 for a tank(10,000 litres...um 2,640 gallons) to $200 plus tax in the last year. Sorry man. I guess too much of anything isnt good. Mate even a drought here is nothing compared to the extremes you guys endure, the area I live in ranges from 0-33 degrees (32-90 ), we have had a smattering of snow once since I've been here(8 years), and at worst its a month or so of HOT, and a couple of months of frosts. Im just thankful I dont have to live, work, and drive in snow, endure Hurricanes, Tornadoes, or all the other cool weather thingies you have. Keep it. Thats the American dream I dont want. I have nothing but empathy for the hardships you get, so as useless as it is, Im thinking of you guys.
