First I heard about this and it hurts. Squire was a fantastic bassist. Was a big Yes fan for their first 5 albums or so (Tales of Topographic Oceans is where I think they crossed the line) as well as the 80s comeback album. R.I.P. Chris-another musician that I've enjoyed for decades I was very sad when I heard this earlier today or yesterday. Huge fan of Yes's classic 70s period. Very sad news. I bought tickets a few weeks ago to see Yes perform with Toto on Aug. 9th. Squire had already announced that he would not be able to participate, and that these would be the first Yes shows he had missed in 47 years! Legendary musician and a very interesting guy. RIP.

Cocker died in December, not over the weekend. Cei-U! I summon the mad dogs and Englishmen! Wait, whaaa? You're right, of course, but that is bizarre as I have seen the news posted about this week. How odd.

Adamwarlock, did you ever end up seeing Guardians of the Galaxy? What did you think? I did last night. Twice. I watched it alone while folding laundry, though I was paying more attention to the movie. And then after than the whole family watched it together. Damn good movie. I'm glad that I gave it a chance, and wished I hadn't worried about the things I was. Yeah it's not gonna be an exact pull from the comics, not so much the story but characters, but it was as close as feasibly possible. Other than the very brief appearance in Avengers, this is my first time seeing Thanos, and I have to say, they did well. Even the voice was nice and impressive, but not an overkill *cough*Bale*cough*. The other guest or brief appearances of characters from the different GotG teams, as well as other cosmic characters was a nice touch. It's not hard to say this is the best Marvel has done so far. If there's sequels, which I am sure there will be, they stay solid and don't keep making them well after they've turned lukewarm. But ya'll were quite right. Defiantly worth watching. And it will be worth buying on DVD so I can watch it and some extras. I would love to see any deleted scenes or gag reels if there are any.

It's currently driving me MAD because it sounds like The Muppets sing backing vocals on Blondie's "Just Go Away", but I cannot find ANY connection, anywhere. But, dang it, I KNOW my My Muppets when I hear them!
Tell me you guys hear it, too.

Joe Cocker has been gone since December, but comedian Jack Carter died on Sunday. A possible name mixup?

Pleased to report that my fantasy baseball team needed a new short reliever on a day (today ... well, actually this was the case several days ago as well, but obviously I've had other things on my mind) when a search for Holds showed a recent string of nice perfomrances by one Charlie Forbush. Yes -- Charlie Forbush. Absolutely perfect for a lifelong Not Brand Ecch devotee, combining Charlie America with Irving Forbush (who actually was the lowlight of the entire series for me, but still).

It's not hard to say this is the best Marvel has done so far. Nice! I'm glad you liked it. I think anyone could make a strong case case for this one, Iron Man 1, Avengers 1, or Cap 2 as the best Marvel movie, and the only real deciding factors would be personal taste. How's Keith Moon doing these days? I'm not sure. I'd better ask Jimi Hendr-oh, wait. Maybe B.B. will...dammit! Does Ray....CRAP. FINE. He's fine.

Merry Marvel Marching Society Namor, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Namor or an Avengers cartoon Namor?
