Gave me quite a scare this afternoon when the radio reported that a potentially dangerous man had escaped a psychiatric clinic in Germany just across the border from my town. It's said he likely carries a firearm. But the most recent reports are that he probably hasn't crossed the Dutch border, and instead made his way to the German city of Bonn. Let's hope the police will find and apprehend him before he hurts anyone.
On a lighter note, I've been watching episodes of Shadowhunters on Netflix, which is based on the young adult novel series The Mortal Instruments. I know that it isn't held in very high regard among the online geek communities, but I've been quite enjoying it as a guilty pleasure. I can see the Twilight-esque elements in it, and neither the plots, scripting, nor special effects are much to write home about, but it knows exactly what it is and I find it entertaining. What has hooked me the most in the last couple episodes I've watched, is the budding romance between Alec and Magnus. I don't expect it to go much further beyond holdin' hands and makin' plans, but I'll take what I can get to see more LGBT fantasy action heroes. And Harry Shum totally rocks the eyeliner. <3<3<3

Regarding My
BATMAN ADAM WEST TV Shows Reviews by JUGGERNAUT
I'll resume this thread on Sunday, August 27th taking care of the next two shows on the same day and followed by another two shows on Wednesday, the 30th. I'm not going to be logging on after today except for Personal Messages until August 27th. Thank You.
My Summer is a Mess
I have a series of (grand total of four moves) families moves that's so complicated for me to explain that's will take most of my summer to complete it. That's why I'm going to be gone this summer. I've operate two clubs and those two clubs will be taking most of my time on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of November that will make it difficult for me to finish my Adam West's thread in a year time. I'm thinking that it will take me 12-15 months to go through 120 shows of that series. I'm also going on Vacation from the 11th to the 18th in August to spend time in Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm with my girlfriend and her parents that week. We already made plans for that.
In short the only days that I'll be logging on is Sundays to Wednesdays - Thursdays to Saturdays, I'm not. That's will take effect on Sunday, August 27th.
Thank You, Everyone.

Juggs, you work for a moving company?
And don't sweat not being able to tend to your review thread; sometimes Real Life just takes precedence.

Yes, when something happens like that when it's so close to home, it does startle a bit.
I woke up one morning in Southern California and had a S.W.A.T. team outside my condo. There was a killer on the loose and he was trapped within our cul-de-sac !
If you can believe it, he actually escaped them by hiding in the car trunk of his friend in one of the units. He stayed in there for a couple of days !

I used to live pretty close to a penitentiary in Amsterdam, and often passed it when walking out for groceries. Got home one day and heard on the news that one of the convicts had escaped that evening. But fine, in Amsterdam you can expect these things from time to time. Curiously, it was after I moved from the big city to a sleepy smalltown that I actually witnessed police engaging a violent criminal; right outside my bedroom window, in the middle of the night. The cops fired two shots, one bullet hit him in the leg, the other ricocheted into our living room through the window (thankfully everyone was upstairs).

I have never tried the whole convict close by, but I do live reletively close to a mental hospital and it has happened a couple of times some of patients have disappered from there. They are not a danger to anyone, well maybe themselves, but it does happen they wander away. Not a lot or anything but its happened.

Having one of those days where I'd be perfectly happy to never read another Golden Age comic--good OR bad--for the rest of my life. Not an option, unfortunately. Ugh.

There was a killer on the loose and he was trapped within our cul-de-sac ! If you can believe it, he actually escaped them by hiding in the car trunk of his friend in one of the units. He stayed in there for a couple of days ! While serving in the Navy, I walked into the wardroom (officers' mess), onboard ship, after serving duty all night and saw the local news feed, which was showing what looked like my apartment complex. i asked my boss, who was sitting there and he asked if I lived in The Palms, which I did. he said, "That's your apartment complex!" There had been a shooting. It turned out to be a domestic situation, involving a sailor, whose wife was having an affair. he went AWOL when his ship pulled out for a month and then came home to find his wife in bed with her lover and then shot both of them. he was found sitting in his truck a few blocks away, by police. The victims survived. He learned she was having an affair and waited for them to get together. I moved out not long after that, though not related. I later spent 6 months temporary duty on another ship and one of my colleagues had lived in the actual building. She said there had been a trail of blood down a hallway. She moved out not long after that. My office had to evacuate our building, on base, when I worked for a destroyer squadron staff. We received a package that was mis-addressed and looked odd. We called base security to have the dogs check it out and one of them keyed in on something and they told us to evacuate. The EOD squad came in later and x-rayed the box. We could see electronic equipment; but, it looked like it could be testing equipment. They asked if we wanted them to remote detonate it or remote open, so we opted for the latter, in case it was test equipment. It turned out to be test equipment that belonged onboard one of our ships. Someone who left the ship had stolen it, got itchy about it and tried to ship it back, anonymously. They got a box from a Naval Investigative Service office (probably nearby their new duty station or it was their actual duty station) and packed it in there. It looked like the box may have had a gunpowder residue, from ammunition or something like that, which the dogs detected. never did hear if they tracked down the culprit.

First day back to work from the 4 day holiday weekend spent at Phoenix Comicon so exhaustion combined with post con depression from the geek high of 3 days makes this a very looooooooong tiring week even being short a day. Is it next weekend so that i can sleep and recover? A splendid time as always at the convention marred by an idiot on opening day who went armed to the teeth claiming to be the "Punisher" and looking to hurt/kill police and Jason David Frank who played the Green Power Ranger. From there on the con policy was no props of any sort allowed: no guns, knives, swords and such. Security instituted a bag check and electronic/magnetic scanning. A minor bump which many took offense to and many did not prepare for allowing extra time for. So of course Friday it made for a slow start that morning with many an attendee and vendor complaints about the "slowness" of the morning. Yet by noon the con was full as usual and going about its business. Most of the grousing coming from the unenlightened attendee's and vendors who weren't making money hand over fist immediately. Those of us concerned, caring and intelligent had fun. The local Storm Trooper group who appear had management approval and brought in nerf guns for the kids to shoot at the "defenseless" troopers as they danced around the hail of foam and insults. One group of Cosplayer's came in sporting foot long french bread as rifles and banana's as weapons. Some Halo military troopers filled their utility belts with fruits and vegetables and Twinkies. The Deadpool cha-cha line was wandering around handing out fruit pies calling them fruit chimichanga's. There was an ample selection of actors if very few comic related people to see. Artist row very empty of "name artists" this year and seems to be dwindling each year as attendee's will stand in line for "hottest artist" of the moment while seemingly ignoring anyone else. Example: David Finch always had a line full of people just to get his signature and Dan Jurgens and Jim Shooter and Don Rosa would get 2 or 3 people asking for them to sign or else they sat there with nobody coming up to them. Overall enjoyed myself collecting some new art prints and watching actor/author panels and chatting with the few comic book artists who attended. Tired but happy little boy who drearily will drag myself through this 4 day work week

The local Storm Trooper group who appear had management approval and brought in nerf guns (...) What was the point? It's not as if they're going to hit anyone with regular blasters !!!

Big day for me tomorrow: I'm getting married to my beautiful fiancée Victoria at 1pm. It's been a bit stressy this week, with lots of little jobs still needing to be done, but it's all sorted now. I'm just putting the finishing touches to my speech. I'm really looking forward to it and, of course, the party afterwards.
