Not illegal in my State of Washington if the tenant is using for medical reasons. The point is, you could spend all the money and go through all the hassle to move somewhere it si illegal, and still have a neighbor who smokes filling the area withthe aroma of pot. Just because it is illegal doesn't mean people won't do it near you, and you may end up going throug all of that for nothing. -M Or cigarettes.

Actually, I think this is a unique case. The article does spin it a bit in terms of this being about male vs. female pay in Hollywood, which is a hot button issue, but there's a lot more going on with this unique situation. This movie was completed and set to debut at the end of December when, at the beginning of November, the allegations about Kevin Spacey's history of sexual harassment went public. Direcot Ridley Scott made the bold decision to completely reshoot every scene with Spacey and replace him with Christopher Plummer - and do it so fast that the movie would still come out as scheduled, even though it was just six weeks away. Since Spacey was one of the main stars of the film, this meant extensive reshoots that had to be done immediately, and had to involve the whole cast. Because of the reasons for the reshoot, which many felt was an almost crazily bold stand against harassment, most of the cast dropped whatever they were doing and agreed to reshoot it essentially for free. That's why Williams was paid so little, because she was getting the union minimum daily wage for the reshoots. However, it seems from this that Wahlberg asked for his full pay to reshoot it. Since there would essentially be no movie to release without his participation, the studio would have had no choice but to pay whatever he was asking. This makes Wahlberg look like a giant tool, not because he's getting paid more than Williams, but because of why he's getting paid more - it looks like he was holding the studio and the movie hostage in order to exploit a delicate situation for his own financial gain. Now, that may not be what actually happened - for instance, it's possible he was committed to another film shoot at the time or something, I don't know. It can get kind of complicated. But whatever the case, this specific instance is more than simply an instance of a man getting paid much more than a woman because of their gender; in fact, I'm not sure that had anything to do with it, so much as Willaims agreeing to work for free to fix the movie and make a positive political statement, and Wahlberg not agreeing to do that.

Part of the problem is it would have been inconceivable for nearly any female actress to ask for and realistically expect to receive X, or at least that's how I understand it. I am not super in the loop on the business practices and mentalities of the fine, upstanding members of the Hollywood community, what with all the news of their upstanding moral character recently. That's a fair point, and it may also be that Michelle Williams, while a good actress, just isn't Mark Wahlberg. He opens movies, he gets his name above the movie title on the marquee and poster, and he is in more demand to do movies than she is, so maybe his agent hedged his contract in case of needed reshoots for the inconvenience to Wahlberg to postpone or pass up another project. This is also true. I am not necessarily saying this is clearly a man vs. woman thing, just speaking to the general topic since it was brought up. I agree that Markie Mark is a bigger name brand than Williams, and of course box office draw and other factors can and should play into who gets paid what.

Trial on a simple possession case today ended in a hung jury. According to the bailiff they were six for not guilty and four for guilty. I was honestly surprised because I thought I had little chance to win the case...which I didn't, but I expected a guilty.

Moving PlansBasically, not official yet ... but my Brother on an annual basis has been offered by the County to buy County Property that's on the right side of his old home that he used to let his Son to rent and that land is exactly 950 square feet for a fixed amount that can be sold quite easily. We are in an agreement to buy that land so that I can build a small home that a dear friend of his who is a contractor can build a 800 square feet small home for me so I can live separately from his son. It will include a carport and my space is increased by 45 percent. I live in a 455 square feet Condo; and I have a neighbor that live nearby that I can easily sell to so that his daughter can live there. We spent a good 2 hours talking about it this morning and if all goes well ... I'll be out of my Condo by Spring of 2020; I'll live 5 miles south and it's a much quieter neighborhood and all that and the roads are very flat and I should have no trouble driving. I'm going to use this year to get all cleaned up and hopefully work out the details of my new home, sell my Condo, and move and have my address shared with my nephew so that my mail can be delivered. Bedroom #2 ... Will be my entertainment room of where the TV goes and shelves for me to put my Comics at and all that. It will double as office for my own personal needs. This home will cost me about 2/3 of the value of my Condo and I should have no problems paying it altogether and with my brother's help in managing my monies the property tax will be a breeze because it will handled by three parties. My Carport will be on the right side of my living room and that's part of the land will be own by my brother and he agreed to let me build a Carport as part of the cost of building the home and let me have that land for nothing. So it's a win-win for the both of us and I've been busy in the past 4-5 days working out all the details making this a reality. The Contractor prefer this floor plan and he found it in the internet and he can build this home in 6 months or less.

That sounds great !
You'll have your family close too and that's a good thing for both of you.
You'll probably spend a good amount of time in that entertainment room. My second bedroom is my office / library, and that's where I spend most of my hours besides sleeping.
I've got an upstairs that I never would have thought twice about, but I've had two back surgeries, so I'm thinking down the road, maybe five years or so, I'll sell this place and get something without an upstairs.
I moved into this in October and I still don't have everything where it should be or exactly how I want it. Oy !

We are going to take the first step in April to buy that parcel of land from the County that my brother is going to buy it for me. After April (date yet to be determined) then we are getting the power, cable, and sewer taken care of. My house will sit separately and then everything else will fall in place. The House will start building in January 2019 and it's should be done by June 2019. Then, I'll start moving things to my new home and should be settled by July that year. Then, in the Fall - I have already have a buyer lined up to buy my Condo and she's well aware of the Pot Smoking and all that. She agreed to pay the assessed value minus 15% to make it a quick sell and then the monies from that sell will take care the cost of my new home. My Condo is worth more than my New Home ... it's weird to think about it and it's true. Since, I'm on disability and all that my brother might work out a deal that pay a fixed amount per year on Property Tax shared with my brother that we agree to do this so he can get a huge tax break from it.

I'm in the middle of a re-cataloguing and reorganising my comic collection. It's been three years or more since I last did it. It's a bit of a pain, humping long boxes about, but I have to say that I rather enjoy going through my collection book by book like this, updating my spreadsheet as I go.
