Nobody in my family has the slightest interest in comic books, but it would be nice to find a collector to will them to, particularly a collector who doesn't have the financial means to grow his own collection. I would hate to think after I died my comics would be sold for pennies to some dealer to profit from. Life can be so sad, to spend your whole life accumulating comics, building your collection, probably never achieving your goal of obtaining that entire run you so wanted. A few years ago I came across a YouTube video with a guy showing off his massive comic book collection. This guy had everything you could imagine, complete Golden & Silver Age runs, a virtual fan boys wet dream! Can't recall how old the guy was, but the sad part about the video was that he revealed he was losing his eyesight and was going to sell off his collection. So sad because you could tell the guy just loved comic books, he devoted his life to collecting and then the tragedy of knowing you will go blind and not be able to enjoy them anymore is heartbreaking.  |

My collection (comics, books, action figures, original art) is to be divvied up among Rob Allen, Greg Hatcher, Dino "Dr. Cyclops" Pidone, and my niece Karly. I need to write down specifically who gets what. My sole New Year resolution is to make a will so I'll probably do it then.

I'm leaving my collection to my wife and daughters. My older daughter is into comics now, so she might want to keep it intact, but if not, they can sell it and use the proceeds to go somewhere or buy something that they want. I'll have gotten my enjoyment out of it, and if they can use it to get something they enjoy out of it, that will be a good thing.

Dying? That, gentlemen, is the last thing I shall do.  I have a brother 8 years my junior who's pretty savvy with collectibles. He's the current candidate. I also found out recently that my first grandchild, a boy, is due to arrive next June. I've been given a blurry photo of him, but it's not enough to get a good read on the lad. We'll have to wait and see. But if he plays his cards right, he's going to have one hell of a tenth birthday.  |

The last time I died, I didn't like my collection of gold and jewellery going to the harlots and I raised hell.
So, you want my slabbed comics? Sure, line up, rub your hands in glee, smiling like Chuck Rozanski when he came upon the Edgar Church closet. But a curse be upon ye. I will get your candy ass.

I'm hoping that one of my kids cares enough about my collection to want me to give it to them...for reading, that is. They're so young right now, though, that I have no idea if that will be the case.

Do whatever with them that benefits them the best. I'm probably gonna be more worried about all the booze in the house no ones going to drink. Or hoping she slips some in the hospital if that's where I have to meet my end.
