Nova #2 So far, they're doing such a good job with Rich being back, I can actually tolerate Sam. This issue features Rich catching up on life as Sam has the Champions confirm his identity (which is a fun scene). We then get an Alexander clan reunion and Rich is feeling forgotten and unappreciated, so they head out to Knowwhere. Cosmo the Soviet telepathy dog is stil there, which is fun, and Rich gets to take a bow with the crowd at the bar... until some bounty hunters arrive. To be continued! Plot: 5/5 (2 extra points for Rich being back and treated well) Art: 3/5

Champions #4 A real downer after the first 3 awesome issues. Turns out they got shot down by Atlanteans that thought they were spies.... they survive the crash, get taken prisoner, then escape. Meh. A few good character bits while young Cyclops, but I still have trouble liking him.. time travel just doesn't make me happy. He seems to fit in with the group decently, though, and seems to be there to stay. If you're not a big Cyclops fan, though this one is almost skippable. Gwenpool is advertised for the next issue, which worries me greatly. We shall see. Plot 2/5 Art: 3/5 Unstoppable Wasp #1 While they are clearly trying a little too hard, I was kinda starting to like Nadia... until this issue. For some reason (workload, I guess) this is not written by Waid, and it's practically a different character. Nadia is inhumanly cheerful and happy (instead of just energetic), and they do the 'stranger in a strange land' thing, which gets old really fast. The story is that Ms. Marvel is helping her to become a citizen, and they find Mockingbird fighting a giant robot on the way, and go out for smoothies after they help her out. The interaction was the best part, with Wasp talking about how she idolized Barbara Morse as a scientist back in the day, and Bobbi being flattered by it. They then have to bring it around to 'smart women aren't appreciated', which I don't love, but I guess makes sense. I'd rather just have them show us smart women so it's not a thing, instead of making it a thing, you know? Anyway, I see a Riri Williams team up in the near future. The team up aspect made it a fun issue, but the prospects for the series don't look good. Plot : 3/5 Art: 2/5
