I know Mike stops in here periodically (DCIndexer), but I just saw this posted on his site... ..and I wanted to take a moment to express how much I have appreciated all his work and dedication to that site and how much it's very existence has made my life as a comic fan better for it. It's an invaluable resource, and I will miss his updates, but I understand there comes a time we all need to step back and do other things too. So thank you Mike and good luck with whatever you choose to do moving forward. -M PS if you have never been to the site, go check it out... Mike's Amazing World

One of the best resources around, maybe the best. The newsstand feature in invaluable. Love this site and I'm very grateful for everything Mike has done over the years.

Mike's website is invaluable for the comic's community and I personally visit it at least weekly. However he decides upon his future involvement with his creation, be it known that he's done a phenomenal job . Any contributions of his knowledge on this forum is appreciated immensely as well

I hope he decides to let somebody (or a team of somebodys) carry on the torch. That site is a treasure without peer.

It frankly amazes me what Mike ( dcindexer) has accomplished with Mike's Amazing World. There are only three non-CCF resources on the web that I visit on a daily basis, and Mike's Amazing World is the most brilliant and necessary of those three. I truly don't know what I would do without it. Mike, enjoy a well earned retirement. I hope all is well in your world, and I trust that you will leave your work in safe hands. Thank you for everything.

Good luck to Mike in whatever he does next.. if it's half as successful as the site, he'll be in great shape. Hopefully, he'll pass the torch on to someone who keeps it up at least... it's a fantasic resource, and kinda amazing to think of his actual collection!

I use that Web Site on an occasional basis offline from this forum and I find it a great resource for me to use for my list of heroes, villains, and characters for my 50 Greatest Lists.
Mike has done a terrific job with it and he'll be missed.

The site was a great resource for working out timelines and helped me figure out when I was first getting exposed to comics and what some of my earliest comics were.
I only had one criticism of it and that was the independent titles represented could be pretty spotty. That's understandable, though, as the focus was on major titles and notable works. A lot of small publishers came and went in the 80s and 90s; so, you'd be hard pressed to chronicle them all.

Considering it started out as a DC only site, I give Mike a pass on the indies he covers/doesn't cover. Everything non-DC was added piecemeal and based on Mike's preferences not necessarily on what would be the whole of comics. If it had only ever done DC, it would still be an amazing resource. -M

Mike's Amazing World of Comics is by far my favorite comic database site and for me the easiest to use. The Newsstand feature was just a brilliant resource.

I hope there's away for Mike to keep his site available.
A labor of love that is irreplacable and boundless in its rewards.
If you're reading along, Mike,
THANK YOU!

Lately I've been using Mike's Reprint Guide quite often for tradebook hunting at the library when I want to read a series in sequential order. Indispensable. Will be so sorry if this cannot be updated with new releases
