Sadly, I think Riverdale may just not be for me. I get that. It is over the top. It isn't for everybody.
For me it is a guilty pleasure that I get to share with my young adult (20's) daughters.

I enjoyed last night's episode...although it was a bit out there. I don't believe a school would endorse Archie's Red Circle Club (liability issues). In real life? Totally agree. On a TV show? Made for a great moment between Archie & Weatherbee. |

"Hiram Lodge" isn't a very Latin name. I wonder if there's a story there.
The show continues to entertain and I'm glad to see Jughead treated in such a cool fashion, a point on which the series Life With Archie disappointed me. I always thought Jug was the cool one.

I loved last night's episode! Poor Archie is going to drive himself nuts. Betty and the Nancy Drew code book...the serpents...the Lodges....Jughead and Toni...the town falling apart--I cannot wait for next week! Good to see both Reggie and Dilton getting more screen time! Veronica rallying the kids at school with the Red Circle shirts--and Cheryl passing them out in the hall. Suddenly I am wishing I was back in highschool, haha!

I didn't watch last night show - I was watching Lt. Kenda instead. I missed a show and I wanted to see it and I got my Cable On Demand that automatically record it. I watch it this Saturday.

Season 2 Episode 4:
Wow! A lot happened in this episode. The town hall meeting trying to get something done about the Black Hood. Veronica supporting Archie. I like how Archie has been calling her Ronnie more. More Reggie & Dilton. Archie almost losing it & Ronnie "saving" him. The Black Hood contacting Betty thru a letter. They are doing a good job giving everyone screen time.
Loved Kevin's comment about Betty's "iconic ponytail".

Last night's episode...wow!!!! Jingle Jangle, attempted date rape, a Pussycat beatdown, a Serpents gauntlet, more from the creepy Black Hood--poor Betty! Over the top fun and I loved every single moment! That scene with Alice Cooper coming into the party--awesome!! Also glad they had Reggie (making out with Josie!!) in the party scene with Veronica and friends. I actually prefer Jughead with Toni. I wonder if when this season wraps up, we will have the classic triangle of Archie/Betty/Veronica.

Season 2 Episode 5:
Intense! Trying to figure who the Hood is. Betty's Dad? Her brother that will be on the show this season?
This episode felt like a thriller with Betty getting all the phone calls from the Black Hood plus how he is "torturing" & isolating her from her friends & family.

And I loved the "Lollipop" ring tone every time the Black Hood called. Very creepy! I was wondering if the Hood might be Betty's dad. The Black Hood indicated Betty would know who he is....we know he is mid 40s, white male...Betty's father? If it is her dad, I wonder what his motives are? Maybe he feels he failed as a father with Polly and he sees Betty hanging out with what he considers the "wrong crowd" and he has snapped?

My impression of the show is that the mysterious Black Hood and was thinking about @mrjupiter comments about Betty's Dad and all and I'm not quite sure about it at this time. I also re-watched the show that Alice Cooper that really stunned me and I started to get the impression that this show is taking serious strides in improving the dynamics and loved the ring of the Lollipop too ... kind of mysterious and creepy at the same time & at the same time it really rocks and enjoyed both of them equally well.

Another awesome episode with so much happening! Cheryl and her mom! Betty turning the tables on the Black Hood! The big drag race (loved Cheryl's scene), the scene where all the parents are giving the kids a good chewing out about the jingle jangle party, Veronica and Betty trying to catch the Sugarman. Reggie and Josie (I think she really likes him), Archie saving the day (for the moment)!

S2 E6:
Another stellar episode. Betty...wow! Great drag race scene. Loved Cheryl this episode. She is human after all. Really beginning to wonder about how much Sheriff Keller knows about the Black Hood.
