Ha ha! That's a great quote! On a more depressing note, those Tales of the Watcher stories sound like they'd be impossible to find now.

Crumpled? Nah, the boxes are sitting on two planks, each with two more planks braced above them with the next box sitting on them. Simpler than shelving, but no possibility of crush injuries to the books.

Ha ha! That's a great quote! On a more depressing note, those Tales of the Watcher stories sound like they'd be impossible to find now. They were reprinted in Marvel Masterworks: Rarities # 1. And Tales of Suspense back issues (that are not the first couple Iron Man appearances) are weirdly cheap, compared to other Silver Age Marvels.

Thanks! I was unaware of that rarities book! This is a link to a good Masterworks resource page, all of the MMW volumes released so far are listed here, and details of forhcoming volumes too. Be warned though, if you have just started collecting Masterworks volumes, there's a heck of a lot to cach up on! MMW

Thanks for that link! I'll start using that as a reference resource. Yeah, I've just started in on Masterworks in the last year. I've a budget that's probably going to limit me to one Masterworks a month, so I know I've got to choose my battles. This will help a lot.

My main battles are obtaining the Masterworks that feature Amazing Spider-Man 51-150 and Fantastic Four 61-150. I've got the ones that have Spidey 1-50 and FF 1-60. Meanwhile I'm sampling a few others, like the one with the early Cap Silver Age stories in TOS. I suspect I'll pick up the one with the first Iron Man stories too. It'll probably be a couple years at least before I get those main battles finished. Hopefully all will be well at that point and I'll assess whether or not to keep picking up Spidey and FF Masterworks. Thanks for asking!

Spider-Man you say? You might find this a handy link for your references so... Very cool. Thanks!! No probs. I am a Spider-Man hardcover collector too, although last year I upgraded and got the two ASM Omnibus volumes, as they were both reprinted in 2016. (Then traded some my Spidey MMWs for Tomb of Dracula Omnibus Vol. 2 just a few weeks ago.) So I now prefer the bigger volumes... and boy are those Omnibus volumes big!
