I'm desperately trying to find the right vehicle for Raymond Chandler. And I'm having a really hard time. Help me out here. How about the Spirit? Or the Shadow? Sugar and Spike?

Wonder Woman by Simone de Beauvoir Who is Simone de Beauvoir? ... I've never, ever heard of this name and this name that you've picked for Wonder Woman and I'm really curious about this selection here. Care to briefly explain why? Highlight the name, right click and search google for it and you will have all you need to know. -M

Oh...and while Hammett could never handle one book, much less two, I'd love to see him do The Dibney's at the same time he's doing Slam Bradley. Hammett wrote--or at least signed--the strip Secret Agent X-9 (later Secret Agent Corrigan). Also, Mickey Spillane wrote for Timely comics, though I believe only text pieces, not scripts.

Hammett wrote--or at least signed--the strip Secret Agent X-9 (later Secret Agent Corrigan). Also, Mickey Spillane wrote for Timely comics, though I believe only text pieces, not scripts. From what I remember Hammett had very little input to the Secret Agent X-9 strip. But it's been a decade or so since I've read a Hammett bio. Anything is really wishful thinking because he pretty much stopped writing after 1934 other than giving assistance to Lillian Hellman when she hit rough patches. Spillane reportedly did write 8-page scripts for Funnies, Inc. Almost all of what he wrote for the comics was not credited though, so it's very hard to tell what he did and didn't write and his comics work has definitely been exaggerated over the years.

The Coen Brothers on Doom Patrol, Challengers of the Unknown and/ or Bat Lash. If we're crossing over into film, I'd give Doom Patrol to Wes Anderson.
