The Apollo Lunar Module landed at 4:18 PM Eastern Standard Time. Armstrong stepped out to the surface at 10:56 PM, Buzz Aldrin 20 minutes later. I must have been glued to watching the TV that day from the afternoon through early AM. In glorious black and white!

The 2007 Fiesta Bowl...I really regret missing that. I regretted missing that game too ... of where Boise State defeated Oklahoma by a score of 43 to 42.

But I regret not going to the game. I'm a Boise State alum. The first game I went too my freshman year was the first game on the blue turf.

I remember falling asleep on the couch & my parents waking me to watch history happening. I could sense my dad's pride as an engineer that American ingenuity & engineering skills had made it possible. Definitely one of my fondest childhood memories.

In glorious black and white! I remember falling asleep on the couch & my parents waking me to watch history happening. I could sense my dad's pride as an engineer that American ingenuity & engineering skills had made it possible. Definitely one of my fondest childhood memories. I think it's the one thing for which every American should be proud of their country, their greatest achievement as a nation and representative of all the best things about their culture. Also an example of how the competitive nature of international relations can be turned to something constructive as opposed to a potentially catastrophic arms race, let alone out and out war.
