Really hoping you aren't serious. That was you though I take it lecturing me about personal bias and not accepting science over those plastic pollution stats the alt-right agendists have been polluting the news with wherever they can? Can't imagine there's that many John Byrne comic readers in Macau. So eager to provoke and engage but then disappear. Then starting up stuff here about Spicer and other such stuff? www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=52532&PN=1&TPN=17Hunh? I wasn't serious. Hence the emoticon. What are you talking about? I'm not a member of Byrne's message board. You had Macau on your profile here, but perhaps I can't prove it huh? As you wish. I'm glad I don't have to behave in such ways.

Yes, two totally unconnected comic fans from Macau starting in with alt-right stuff the same time on the same day. Nothing wrong with that. Not on the Byrne forum... but trying to start things here and get people to call Byrne a name (not my word, your word: a$$hole)... totally innocent behavior. Please proceed. I've said all I need to.

Where is the other person in Macau from? What message board. I'm actually curious now. Because you're right, I don't think there would be any other American comic readers of any type here. Wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one. I asked if people here thought Byrne was an asshole. I didn't try to convince people to say he was an asshole. Or else I would have given my opinion that he was indeed an asshole. If you notice, the avatar I'm using is a Byrne illustration. Don't think I would be using a piece of art if it's from someone I was fully convinced was a dickhead. Alt-right? What does that even mean? Sorry, I don't really care about American politics. A bonus of being an expat. Also, I'll explain why I asked about Spicer in the other thread.

* Ahem! *
We are all friends, here.
Also since this may be germane to the discussion, here is a reminder of Rule #2 from the CCF rule book :
2. Going along with this, we ask that you not come here to badmouth other online communities or persons in other online communities. Inevitably, someone else here has a stake in the argument over there, and bad blood spills over.
Thank you!

Byrne isn't one...but the particular 'Robomod' guy who appears on that linked page, is, even moreso than Byrne's moodiness, the main reason I'm glad to be out of that forum. In contrast to the mods here, that guy fully subscribes to the 'bad cop' mentality of some moderators, who feel they always need to be confrontational,or 'prickly'. A lot of people over there (over)think/(over)react, and have problems with those who might have views that challenge the status quo. In short, it's a 'boys' clubhouse', and I've seen them overreact to other females...who are now former members. OK, enough of that place. This one has a better attitude/'vibe', and I hope everyone can feel welcomed here

Apologies for my possible paranoia, and for confrontational prickliness of my own. I wish to focus on the positive and It's not my place to say someone has a negative agenda; if so people can see it or not for themselves. Not to pull a Roseanne... I was on some codeine pain meds last night, nothing I need or want to go into, but it has happened before where I haven't been on anything for a long stretch and then have had to take something and been hit far harder by them (or they react with other stuff in my system). I'm still on them today so will keep my activities to a minimum though they do make me feel normal. Pain permanently effects the brain and I'm lucky to have something that actually works for me and not abuse it. I do appreciate both the tolerance here and at the Byrne forum I have experienced.

If we've succeeded, it's due mainly to the great group of people we have as members.

Why would the color if your hair identify you more as a prostitute? Because it looks artificial. And it did.

Could you imagine what the world would be like if you just said what you felt like saying all the time? Even if she did look like a prostitute, it's not nice to say it. What is he saying now that women are walking around with bright green hair?

It was dumb when he said it the first time. It hasn't improved since then.

I was a naval officer for four years. Every prostitute I ever saw outside the main gate (there was a diner across the street from the base entrance, in Charleston, C, where prostitutes congregated), or in most other ports (you see a lot of prostitutes, strip clubs and pawn shops around military bases) was brunette. Byrne can't even get his hair colors right. Not surprised, since he is color-blind.
There is an old stereotype about women who died their hair blond were loose; ie. "Looked and/or acted like a prostitute." It was also directed at redheads. Hair dying used to be a fairly private matter, until heavy marketing by cosmetics companies and examples from celebrities made it more acceptable to people. Heck, bleach blond was a favorite look for male pro wrestling heels, as the light hair made blood show up more, when they got "color." (Yeah, I know, it's pretty sick; but it was something that grew out of carnival shows. What do you expect?)
