I'm pretty content with the era I've lived in - missed all the big wars and the big diseases, experienced most of the breakdown of the era of deference to the establishment and the growth of the computer age. I could have done with being maybe a couple of years older, so that I was (say) 18 when punk hit, rather than 14/15 - maybe wouldn't have been so exciting, but I would have more chance of actually experiencing it to the full. Happy to have lived through Britain becoming a largely post-religious society (or maybe a splintered religion would be more appropriate with the breakdown of the Anglican block), would be nice to see if we can ever get to the stage of full disestablishment, though I think that might take beyond my life time.
