Bryan Adams is one of the many things Canada should apologize to the world for. When the Stones played Little Rock in 11/94, Adams opened. Good god in heaven. (That was an odd show. My gf had bought my ticket, as well of course as her own, for my birthday in September. Immediately after that, we broke up. Of course, neither of us was going to miss the gig, so we went together. Good thing that breakup had been about as amicable as could be. Adding to the surrealism of it all, we sat about 10 rows behind the governor, Jim Guy Tucker, who wasn't that far from being indicted by Kenneth Starr for Whitewater-related garbage.) Sadly, I've seen pix of myself from when I was in my 30s in which I looked vaguely like him (Adams, that is, not god in heaven -- although, y'know ...). Of course, I've seen a comparable resemblance at different stages with Paul Simonon of the Clash & Richard Famous of the Poison Girls. You never know. I think it's the deep-set eyes more than anything else.

I remember the Summer of 91 being all about Kevin Costner in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves and Brian Adams atrocious accompanying ballad; never has a more inartistic actor/singer combo teamed up to ruin a child's summer.

I seem to remember an awful video of that but I could be mistaken I was 5 in 91.

I was 13 going on 14, so I was more than old enough to have Costner's performance, and that song, ingrained in my mind forever... Robin Hood with an American accent? Pure blasphemy.

Everyone knows he should have an Aussie accent. That X-Men cartoon in the 80's featured Wolverine with an Aussie accent. Apparently it left such an impression that years later they went and hired an Aussie to play him in the movie. I don't know what the moral of this story is, but there's something about it that I find disturbing. I say it's best to stick with geographically accurate accents or as close as possible.

I thought I'd kick things off with this gem to make certain that there is no place to go but up. (Also because I was looking at old YouTube history and forgot about it) I have seen this before. But I don't know where. How did this even happen? Who told her, or even gave her any hope, that this was a good idea?? This is awful. Hilariously awful.

This is actually the Madonna of Earth W (for Weird). Basically, Earth W is an alternate universe where Madonna always chooses the super-size option.
