Started watching a few episodes of Dinosaur Squadron Zyuranger which most people recognize as Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Most of the aspects that I disliked about MMPR when it first deputed don't exist in the original which is free on Tubi for those interested. The sort of Saved By The Bell mixed with fighting monsters and bad humor never worked for me.
Zyuranger on the other hand is almost non stop action which is pretty fun and definitely makes me want to go back and watch some of the earlier Super Sentai series especially Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan.
Another series I'm enjoying is Ultra Q which features Toho-esque monsters of the week. The first episode is actually a Shows era Godzilla suit with more claws, horns, and fur added! Apparently this series is first from the studio that gave us Ultraman which is why I wanted to check it out first.
Jetman, which was originally considered for the Power Rangers is heavily inspired by Gatchaman (aka Battle of the Planets, aka G-Force, Guardians of Space), which, itself, inspired the whole sentai/Super Sentai genre.
I used to have a VHS tape of about 4 episodes of JAQKers, the second Sentai series, including their crossover with their predecessor and original Sentai, Gorangers. It generally isn't rated too highly; but, I enjoyed what I saw and the crossover was good.
You can catch the spoof version of Dynaman, on Youtube, that was shown on USA Network's Night Flight.
If you enjoy the Ultra shows and the Sentai/Super Sentai, I highly recommend Kamen Rider, especially the earlier ones, like the original and Kamen Rider V3. I had a tape of 4 or 5 episodes of Kamen Rider X (third series) and then one for Kamen Rider Black (one of the 80s shows) and Kamen Rider Black RX (the direct sequel, which provided footage for Saban's Masked Rider). The tape I had of KR Black RX featured the last 4 episodes, where he teams up with all of the previous Riders, so you could see them all in battle. Also had the Kamen Rider Z-O movie, which came out in the early 90s, which also provided a bit of footage for the Saban series.
The Metal Hero and Space Sheriff series are pretty good (what I've seen) and they provided some of the footage (I forget which particular series) for VR Troopers.
If you've never see it, Johnny Sokko, the Americanized version of Giant Robo, is a hoot. Much like Ultraman, except a giant weaponized robot, controlled by a kid, who works with an international security organization. Some spy-fi fun, giant monsters, alien criminals, and goofiness, with plenty of action, including henchmen who look like Asian Che Guevara wannabes (wrap around sunglasses, machine guns, berets, military uniforms).
