Nothing really stands out to me here. Marvel Two in One does a bit but I get the feeling it will feature The Thing and ...everyone who has a book on this list. I can see Deadpool showing several times before it hits #12.
Still no Fantastic Four...ugh.

I think Marvel has more intrinsic problems that can't be solved by legacy numbering and retro cosmetic changes to character appearances. How about stop letting creators like Jason Aaron write a stoic character like Dr. Strange as a cross between MCU Tony Stark and 60's Spider-Man? If they can't get basic characterization down, what's the point?
How about introduce NEW diverse characters to stand along-side Black Panther, Storm and Luke Cage? You don't have to launch them out of the gate with a new series, but at least TRY to create something as new and as interesting as what Lee, Kirby, Claremont, Cockrum, among others, were able to do in days of yore.

Marvel and DC really need to come off the "work for hire" model and cut creators in on their creations. Then and only then would we see interesting new characters. That said, I look around the creator-owned world of comics and see very few characters that would break through, much less become iconic like Spider-Man or Batman. Granted, most independent minded creators aren't exactly thinking about creating characters that can be marketed as toy's and cereal.

Yummy, looks like I'll be getting Cap again as both the books theyve worked on together have been well done.

The real question is why he Cap fighting a bunch of guys in Night Thrasher outfits. Ha, the joke I've seen was wondering why he was fighting all those Netflix Daredevils.

Who is going to create them? Why would anyone in their right mind create a character for Marvel/DC? because if you do, then go to Image, you'll start with a fan base rather than fighting to create one from scratch. and with Image, fan base = hard dollars. people who create characters at Marvel/DC are: 1. competing against a lot of good people whom also create characters for them, and thus set themselves apart from tumblr-esque pseudo-creators 2. increasing a lot of ways readers can choose to buy their later (non Marvel/DC) characters by dint of how the artist is exhibited on google and various wiki-tripe, which will increase sales 3. likely to get more royalties for issues where a character you create is featured. even for Marvel/DC, as certain contracts for Marvel/DC allow for this. Dringenberg gets $$ for every comic where Death (from Sandman) appears, by contract, a contract which Gaiman scored for him.

I flipped through a couple of the Legacy books at Newbury yesterday.. the Lenticular covers are pretty neat.. they have the original cover, than 'flick' to the homage.
What I found really interesting is the books that have 'Legacy numbering' have an ad page that actually lists where the number came from. For Avengers, they included the Bendis New Avengers series, for instance, and of course the 'All-New, All-different' from a couple marketing campaigns ago. Surprisingly, they counted Superior Iron Man for that one.
Anyone that was wondering about where they got stuff from, theorically there's a list, and if it's in the book, it'll be online.
