Inking, inking, inking! good Inking is the Richard Burton voice to the script of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' and 'Under Milkwood', the facial nuance and majestic roar Anna Magnani in 'The Rose Tattoo', the spitfire comebacks of Carrie Fischer in Star Wars, the body-language nuances of Chaney Sr.'s Phantom of the Opera. versus bad inking which is Keanu Reeves in 'Johnny Mnemonic'. so, a thread dedicated to inking styles throughout the years! 1st off, EC and/or 'Warren" style inking, with brush only... more later.

LovesGilKaneThat's an excellent inking and you do your shading very well and that's not an easy thing to do.

thank you. it takes years/decades' practice to be fluid with a brush-alone.

I've always been fascinated by the very thought of inking with a brush.
Seems impossible to me.

I've always been fascinated by the very thought of inking with a brush. Seems impossible to me. without dedicated practice, and regular frustration, it often is, lol. Hence why few millenials (in the USA) bother to train themselves to ink with a brush.

more brushwork (I'll post pen-nib-oriented work in short order): the late 1960's Marvel 'wet-brush-look'. this is actually 130% the size of the original.

and (mainly) nib inking, of a tv character from Danger 5 from Aussie-land, which paste-pot-paul likely knows... although a bit of the piece was rendered via a PITT brush pen.

Inking is scary. Making that mark and knowing you can't take it back. I've only recently started using brush and India ink. When a line goes right it is the best feeling. Most of the time I'm far too hesitant - which is fatal.

Thank you, though I cannot take credit for the lips; they are the actresses', lol. and as you said, so kissable, so romantic The show featuring the actress is an Aussie show called 'Danger 5', which I believe you can enjoy on youtube.
