It's no surprise that many dislike (and maybe even hate) a film I thought was decent. I've been a huge film/TV series fan for years (not just super-hero movies), and find that my opinions on cinema/TV series vary greatly from the general public and/or even other fans. Not at all unexpected

Not at all unexpected Truth there. I watch a lot of different television shows and movies and believe many criticize or judge too harshly. It is their opinion to give, but do so with consideration to the effort made to create. Even the worst ever show or movie or music or comic book has some worth in them for someone. I find myself shaking my head in wonder sometimes at people's thoughts on things which I enjoyed and they didn't.

Of course, I'm currently taking flack for liking X-Men: Apocalypse

I always liked it growing up but I think it's probably been 20 years since I actually sat down to watch it.
