So not only did this suddenly appear and is starting in a few weeks... DAVID TENNANT is Scrooge? Sign me up... they actually have some crazy good voice actors.. though I'm kinda skeptical that they seem to be saying they're going to mix Darkwing Duck in somehow.

I heard about this about a year ago and saw clips of Tennant and others recording the voice work early this year, so I have been looking forward to it for a while. Did they give an exact start date yet?

Should have gone for Ewan McGregor as Scrooge, Robert Carlisle as Donald, Ewan Bremner as Huey, Kevin McKidd as Dewey, and Johnny Le Miller as Louie.

Excited to hear David Tennant as the voice of Scrooge. Not sure if I'm a fan of the nephews voices.

There are some previews on Youtube.
It has potential; but yeah, Huey, Dewey and Louie are a bit too on the hyper side. It also seems to have the attention span of a gnat; but, what doesn't these days. I guess the original must seem slow.

With Launchpad McQuack (or Turbo McQuack as he is known over here) as a major cast member in both titles, it fits to have him appear at one point or another. |

Don't forget, premieres this weekend (I think they're running the first episode continuously all day today on Disney XD, it's a 1 hour premiere. I already have in on the DVR will watch it after work.

Th first episode was pretty entertaining. I haven't warmed up to the voices of the nephews yet but I think the voice actor who does Donald Duck was almost spot on. I also like the idea of an actual Scottish actor playing Scrooge. I thought some of it was actually funny and the adventure stuff was pretty good too.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty fun too and I loved the references to Darkwing Duck and Talespin(which was always my favorite!) I didn't catch those but apparently there are a bunch of references to other Disney stuff. |

It's strange hearing Tennant as Uncle Scrooge but he's a great choice for the character.
Good start though, channels the spirit of the original rather well I thought.

I watched the two newest episodes this weekend and thought they were pretty funny. I'm really enjoying the voice talent in this series. Episode 2 "Daytrip of Doom!" reintroduces the Beagle Boys and episode 3 "The Great Dime Chase!" reintroduces Gyro Gearloose played by Jim Rash.
