So...I guess this is spilling all over the internet now. People aren't supposed to record these during these showcases, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy I got to see something even if it's hard to make out what is going on. This looks really exciting, and I know I'm going to watch the trailer a zillion times when it gets fully released. Probably soon after Thor 3.

So I guess we aren't getting Adam Warlock as a catalyst for the story like in the comics where he played a major role. Shame, since Marvel actually has the rights to use him. Sucks that Silver Surfer/Galactus can't be around, but I could understand because of business rights. But you have Adam Warlock at your disposal. Shouldn't you be using him? Does not compute.

every whoop and all applause seem completely warranted. what a gift this shall be! Not saying it won't be a good film, just that convention audiences audiences are an easy sell, especially these days. Watching that, I was reminded of an I Love Lucy episode, where she and Ethel are in a radio quiz show audience and there is a guy standing on the stage, impassively, until it is time for applause. He then becomes over-animated, clapping wildly to cue the audience (then returns to standing stock still, with a blank expression; funny as hell...). I had the same feel watching that; only on a tiny, tiny screen, at a bad side angle, with someone's head in the way. I was once at a convention in 1991 and Marvel had a presentation on their stuff for the coming year. They had a slide show of art and people were lapping it up, while I sat there going, "This is it?" They ended with "The Ultimate Big Gun Cover" with Thing and someone else with giant "Lego Guns" (my term for every firearm in 90s comics that looked non-functional and like it was pieced together from Legos) and I just shook my head. I was such a cynical young man..... They then announced that James Cameron was going to direct Spider-Man and Richard Donner would do X-Men. "WHHHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Having been through the whole Punisher and Captain America debacle, I was very much mindset of, yeah, I'll wait until it is in the theater. Comics Scene had monthly listings of projects that weren't getting filmed, yet had big names attached to it (John Singleton will direct Wesley Snipes, in Black Panther!!!), so I knew better to put much faith in it until it was filming. Everyone else was whoopin' and hollerin', right on cue. Sure enough, just a few years later the Spider-Man film was in a legal web (see what I dd there?) and Donner's wife was trying to get X-Men off the ground, while Marvel was bankrupt. Cynical? Well, yeah; I just came through the Gulf War, where the message traffic I read told a different story from the one on CNN. You'd be cynical too. Especially about 90s Marvel. Those guys were cheering the Titanic right into the iceberg. "Iceberg right ahead!" "Chip off some for my gin and tonic!" "Yeah! Hey, let's have Wolverine, Ghost Rider and Punisher fight someone on an iceberg!" "In which book?" "All of them!" Good thing I regained my sense of optimism!

I take it you weren't taken by Venomberg in the 90s, Iceberg Avengers in the '00s and Iceberg NOW! 2.0 last year, then?

Dang; I must have missed the issue where El Santo joins. Did the do a crossover with Los Campeones Del Justicio? Next you'll tell me that Mil Mascaras joined the Defenders.

This reminds me of the old Hollywood films where it seems like every star was available to be in it. Y'know like: Except here, it's every superhero star available to be in it. Except for Squirrel Girl though. Apparently she's snobbed by Hollywood, don't know why, adorable and such, cute furry sidekick and all, prime material to sell alongside your Baby Groot dolls...and she's defeated Thanos before...might need that Steve....just saying. Raccoons and squirrels may not get along all that well but we're Avengers...in-fighting is a given.
