I'd like to see Superman and Batman wearing their underpants outside of their trousers again.  I don't know who did this art (I'm terrible in this area) - and the reason for this picture his "S" is slightly larger than normal and that's makes him great. Batman This is my preferred look and always be my Caped Crusader. It's perfection indeed! |

I can think of more villains than heroes I would redesign, starting with Batroc. Actually, I would overhaul him and remove the joke overtones and tone down the flamboyance of the costume. He is supposed to be an ex-Legionnaire, and an expert in savate. Savate isn't jumping around; it's coordinated kicks and punches, usually done in combinations. Winter Soldier improved him quite a bit and is more along the lines of what I would like, though the fight choreographer still didn't include actual savate techniques (more generic kickboxing). Someone did through some parkour into one of the Bucky stories, with Batroc getting one over on Bucky.
I would make the guy a master of french martial arts and an expert at others, a great tactician, and a weapons expert. I'd tone down the stereotype and make him more like Vincent Cassel in the film Mesrine; a very deadly criminal.
For a hero, probably Shang Chi. Never liked the pajamas; preferred when Paul Gulacy had him in a jump suit of something similar. They've dispensed with it in more recent years, sticking to more practical clothing.

If I could pick one character and one character only? It'd have to be Superman. And my re-design would be nothing drastic/outrageous. No removing the trunks. No extraneous seams/textures/etc. I'd essentially just combine the Fleischer and DCAU designs.  |

This wouldn't be a drastic re-design but I've always thought Orion's costume was just a bit too bland. I'd change the helmet slightly to make more like Magneto's Corinthian style one (which I think is better suited to Orion's warrior-like character anyway), and maybe lose the superhero-ish trunks outside the tights and make it a kind of all-red, high-tech body-armour, fitting the science-fantasy quality of the New Gods universe.
I just recently saw what might have been an alternative Kirby-design for Orion that had the characteristic Kirby zig-zag lines you see on Black Bolt or Ikaris. Or it might have been Captain Victory, no one seems to know for sure.

had to do this via crappy 'smart' phone, but you'll get the idea for my redesign of Kitty Pryde, which in no way may be used or adopted by Marvel or any other corporation. Maybe later I'll dslr it.  the wording is: "Peter is MINE. I waited 20 years. He will 'never forget' that. So, chickipoo, 'never forget' that." then 'Kitty at age 35, tribute to Israeli Tank Women I have known, L.G.K. 2017'. my depiction here is also dedictaed to Klimpt Women, I hope CC and Jesse and Kirby enjoy/appreciate this.  this would be a really nice Sabra outfit, I think |

In the early years, Superman settled on a chest emblem which displayed the 'S' in a border which I've always liked. Since Superman actually wears his emblem on two spots on his uniform - chest and cape (in yellow) - it's kind of redundant for him to repeat the same crest in both spots. Why not let him use his usual emblem for his chest and his early 1940's one for his cape? Oh, and drop the monotone colour for it as well.  See middle panel to the right below for way I'd like the cape to look.  |

I found this one a while back and saved it because I liked it. It's a redesign of Superman to be more in the vein of a pulp action hero...  I just liked the 30s-40s pulp vibe to the look. -M |
