I have both the 1976 and 1977 DC calendars, and they do indeed assign birthdays for just about every damn character in the DC universe in the 1976 calendar, no matter how pointlessly obscure. I just glanced over at it and the next birthday coming up is August 6, the birthday for Kid Eternity. Other characters with August birthdays: The Joker, Chlorophyll Kid, Lois Lane, Crimson Avenger's sidekick Wing, Element Lad, the Golden Age Hawkgirl - who apparently has a different birthday than the Silver Age Hawkgirl, and Plastic Man. if there are specific heroes you need birthdays for, I can take a look. The 1977 calendar actually doesn't have birthdays, instead it gives the dates of specific events in the DCU. What's the Joker's birthday? I must know because it's my new official national holiday. You'd think it would be April Fool's Day, but no. It's August 1.

As a respect to Outrajs, i'd add something from the 'art-grunt' p.o.v.
after being asked to co-create a character for one of the 'big-2', i innocently-asked 'what's the character's b-day'?
i received a grumpy-reaction from 'editorial'. in essence, 'don't pidgeon-hole age; we need characters' ages to be fluid, for sake of sales and sales of ancillary-product'.
well hey, message received loud and clear.
this is why 'b-day's' are scarce, especially in the days/decades of ret-con @z$#!!!.

I've seen Dr. Strange birthday listed as November 18 1930 enough times that I'm trying to determine the source.

Honestly, this area that I've pay no attention to. I think it's taken the trivial aspects too far for anyone to remember a hero birthday. Let alone anniversaries too ...

I picked up a copy of Superboy 143 today where the letter page assigns Superman the birthday of February 29. Interestingly, they also provide a birthdate of June 18 for Clark Kent saying that this is "the anniversary of the day the Kents adopted him". The issue dates back to 1967 so the Feb 29 date given goes at least that far back.
Also; Batman Special 1 revealed that The Waynes were killed on June 26 which could arguably make Batman's birthday (as opposed to that of Bruce Wayne) June 26.

Just out of curiosity, in the 1976 Captain Marvel was considered such a big deal that they put him on the cover with the most iconic DC heroes..?

I really don't have an answer for that ... but zaku, there was a Shazam TV Show at the time that this calendar was made and he was a popular hero back then. That's my guess back then ...
