i consider this a gender-neutral question, and as confessor has expressed a concern re female membership here when a thread about smart/cute non hominids are often a fave on youtube/vimeo/face-fart/twitter etc., i'd lie to open this question up, in honour of Outrajs, our newest (and possibly only) female member, since appreciation of cute non-'humans' comes chiefly/maily from the work of photographers. THEIR underappreciated work often leads the game online. this work also often inspires comics writers/artists to do their best work, btw. the work of dedicated photographers has oft led to my making a deadline, when they showed respect to: octopusses (apparently 'octopi' is no longer a 'true' term) cute squid goannas gila monsters tarantulas baby jellyfish moths hummingbirds parrots wombats cassowarries lemurs scarabs magpies ravens praying mantises collussus butterflies blue-ringed octopusses nautilusses 'water-dragons' baby-boas, baby pythons. and so many more aside from 'kitties and puppies'.  what cute non humans make it easier to get through YOUR day? |

I really like rabbits. I had one as a pet about 20 years ago and just fell in love with them. There are a number of wild ones that live on my street, as well as a family that lives on the grounds of the plant I work at, and it always makes my day when I see them, especially first thing in the morning.
I also like cats a lot, especially Persians, which my daughters and I call "squishy-faced kitties". We have two cats (not Persians), sisters, both long-hair and completely black, although one of them has the tiniest white bib.

I love chipmunks and squirrels ... and I got them everywhere at my Condo place and I do get an occasional Rabbit too.

Aside from my pet cat I've thought most animals are pretty interesting since I was a kid not just the cute ones. There's a feed that comes up on youtube called The Daily 'Aww' generally its adorable animals but really all types of animals.
