^Cover date is before the first season of Simpsons...although I know Simpsons appeared on the Tracey Ullman show before that. The background reminds me of Bart in the opening credits:)

How about a comic that is a school project... a little wide of the mark but hey...it was the first thing I thought of when I saw school days in the topic title... -M Kubert's style doesn't usually work for me but I like this one probably better than anything else of his I can think of at the moment. maybe he should have done a sword & sorcery series.

School's Out! It may not fit...but I couldn't resist. One of the first albums I ever owned and still a favourite.

He did some covers on the later issues of Claw the Unconquered for DC, and one of the strips in Joe Kubert Presents was essentially a sword & sorcery story with sci-fi trappings. He did a triptych of covers for Dark Horse featuring Conan, Kull & Solomon Kane that were available as variants for each series but together formed the triptych. There's likely other things I am forgetting too, but he has skirted the s&s genre in a lot of places and done a few things in it. -M
