You would think I'd name All-Star #3 but, since I already have reprints of it in several different formats, I'll go instead with The Big All-American Comic Book, which I've lusted after ever since learning of its existence from Steranko's History of Comics back in '72. It takes an act of pure will not to drool when I see it displayed on some dealer's back wall at conventions.

Brother Power the Geek #3. It's for a friend. I read the OP and thought the exact same thing 🤔 For myself, probably a Captain America #1, for obvious reasons.

Mainly because there's little chance it'll be reprinted.

I don't know. I'm not a collector-y kinda guy. So I guess I'd go for something that super rare just so I could be sure it was preserved. Either the Flash or the Thrill comics ashcan would be cool.

Not quite a comic book but the collected story board art by Moebius for Jodorowsky's Dune. There are only 2-3 copies of the complete collection in its binder as presented to the studio. It essentially reads as a wordless comic adaptation of Dune funneled through Jodo's vision complete with Moebius art and a few designs by H.R. Giger. Jodo has one seen in the Jodo's Dune documentary, and I am not sure where the others are. here's a screen shot of the binder from the documentary... -M Edit to add PS: The only way I am getting one of these is if a genie granted me one, because I am not sure a copy would ever go up for sale to get no matter how much money I had anyways. Yes I want one of those pre-production books with the storyboards and all the concept art which looked amazing in the documentary. Also a way to travel back-and-forth to the parallel dimension where that completed film exists!

I think I'll go with this one This is one of my favorite stories of any comic. It has emotion and tears at your heart. Although it's not valuable, I wouldn't mind it being passed to others when I die.

Debated it a bit and decided that it would be Batman #1. I thought about 'Tec #27, but Batman #1 has much more of the Batman myths in it.

I almost picked Batman # 1, probably the best premiere issue of all time!

Batman #1. I have #8-10 and #100 and up because, years ago, I was going to complete the entire run, but #1 is the sole issue in that stretch there's just no way I'll ever be able to afford. Yeah! Batman #1 is THE obvious choice! (But only because I already have The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1!) Batman #1 is one of my favorite comics ever! The DC Millennium Edition is one of the comics I keep in the small nightstand library next to my bed. The first Joker story! The second Joker story! The first Catwoman story! And Hugo Strange and giant monsters and a King Kong homage! And also, a reprint of the original two-page origin! My favorite Golden Age comic book!

Mint pristine condition? There's only one choice for me in that regard:

It'd probably be a Spider-Man book and, I guess, Amazing Fantasy #15 would be the way to go. However, as cool as owning a mint condition copy of that book would be, my favourite issue of the first year of Spider-Man isn't AF #15, it's Amazing Spider-Man #5, featuring Doctor Doom. I'd love to own an original copy of that issue, but, being a cheapskate collector, I'm never likely to, so I'll go for that one...
