That trailer did absolutely nothing for me.

Meh
Still say they should’ve let del Toro and Pearlman wrap up their trilogy.

Why a reboot though? Just because there's a new cast?

Why a reboot though? Just because there's a new cast? Welcome to modern Hollywood.

A new redband trailer is out(nsfw language):
I certainly like it better than the first one, though the profanity seems a little over the top. I really like the focus on a larger mythological world...but I miss Liz and Abe. Hopefully it works out.

It's pretty amazing what some cuts and a different song can do as there really wasn't all that much new footage here.

Nothing I'll see in the theater, but I'm sure I'll waste an afternoon watching it when it hits Netflix. Not sure why it needed the profanity, but some of the visuals are pretty cool.

Yeah the F-bombs seemed a little out of place to me especially as Hellboy's sort of catch phrase in the comics is "oh, crap!"

Man, the critics are savaging this flick; I haven't seen a decent review yet.

Girlfriend and I will see it but I agree I haven't seen one positive review of it yet.
I'm pretty forgiving and tolerant as far as special effects, but Hellboy's face sure does look rubbery; I mean, embarrassingly rubbery, like a schlock B-movie.

Just an OK movie. You would think this was Hollywood's 1st attempt at a Hellboy movie and not the 3rd. Del Toro knows horror and how to pace and set mood and when to go for the laugh and his movies always have primo effects work. This version is just all over the place. Jokes/humor at the wrong time and place and none of the humor comes across as genuine or funny. The CGI is horrible in many places. Hellboy has times when he looks really good and other times as quite poor/fake. Movie couldn't decide if it wanted to be straight on horror (the Baba Yaga portion downright scary) or summer action movie or a comedy. Very little for ANY of the actors to do in this one other than just being a part of it all. Very disjointed movie and Mignola had a hand in much of it? Some nice parts here and there and it works alright for a late night and cant sleep grab a midnight munchie's til drift off movie. Prefer the 1st 2 movies.

Thanks Brutalis. You've convinced me to pass on this movie. I'll see almost any comic movie and they're usually at least good but this one doesn't sound like it. Will catch it later on Netflix or something instead of a $ 50 date.
Disappointed...

I went as me and a couple of friends usually catch most if not all of the comic book movies on their opening weekend. Like last weekend 1 of the guys bowed out from Shazam as he isn't into DC all that much and didn't care for the previews. Next up and bound to leave a better taste is Avengers: Endgame! Then John Wick 3 and Godzilla! Undecided on Aladdin but will probably see it with friends.

I was looking forward to a Hellboy movie which hewed closer to the tone of the comics. Guess this one isn't the one I was hoping for. Shame.
