Agree to disagree. Most of my friends have different political leanings than I do living in conservative Oklahoma (Obama didn't carry a single county here), but, we're friends and agree to disagree.

Yeah this state is something else. As I've said I've been here 14 years and I still don't like this place.
Also, random statement ... Fringe may be the greatest TV themes. I never pass it by no matter how many episodes I watch in a row.

What kind of pea-brained website designer goes live without making sure it's compatible with the major browsers first? My sister has two weeks to complete her yearly online training to retain her certification as a home healthcare provider and the stupid little videos they've embedded all through her courses won't work because of a compatability issue between Quicktime and Firefox. It plays the video just fine but then won't allow the user to close the Quicktime player, bringing her progress to a screeching halt. After hours (and hours!) of trying to track down a fix, all I've managed to do is prove my 16-years-outdated computer knowledge is pretty much worthless. Every suggested solution requires either an outlay of money (pointless, because I'm never putting my bank card # on the 'net again) or more computer expertise than I've ever had or ever will have. Of course there was no problem last year because they hadn't installed the "new, improved" version of the training site.
I'm so sick of software developers using end users as unpaid beta testers, not giving a damn what havoc their irresponsibility or laziness or cheapness wreaks on their customers. Also, IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T "FIX" IT!!!

On a somewhat related note, a friend of mine who works for a big multinational computer company reckons that the quality of website coding has degraded as people have gotten better and faster home computers. He says that in the old days, website developers had to code in a very smart and economical way because most home computers had (relatively) tiny amounts of RAM, fairly basic versions of flash animation etc and people's internet connections were slow dial-up affairs. These days website coding is much more slap dash. I dunno whether that's actually true, but he certainly knows his stuff and it sounds plausible to me.

It appears director Josh Trank has told cast members of the Fantastic Four movie to not read any of the comics as the lot has nothing to do with the comic book stories, according to Kate Mara in an interview the Susan Storm actress recently gave. That doesn't bode well. I wonder if we'll finally get a Fantastic Four Omnibus Vol. 3 when the movie comes out? I wanna know what happens in issues #61 to #90 dammit!

That would only make sense. What goes through some of these directors mind? Do they just know people will come and see it anyway so they don't really care about how the movie comes out? Or are they just so smug that they think can come up with a better story then the ones that have already be told?

Besides that Firefox is a horrendous memory hog. Firefox is frequently a pain in my backside at work (IT guy). My go-to response when someone says Firefox is being a problem is "Have you tried Chrome?"

Besides that Firefox is a horrendous memory hog. Firefox is frequently a pain in my backside at work (IT guy). My go-to response when someone says Firefox is being a problem is "Have you tried Chrome?" Have you tried SRWare Iron?
