I just miss physical keyboards on phones. 2023 and typing on a touch pad is still the pits. My last keyboard equipped work Blackberry many years ago was the last time I was good with typing on a phone. My fingers are not built for touchscreen, no matter how much I try.

I can't believe I'm actually eating Cream of Wheat. When I was a kid, that was one of the ultimate old person/mom foods. Now it's on my too-small surgery recovery allowed foods list. Where did it all go so wrong?

I can't believe I'm actually eating Cream of Wheat. When I was a kid, that was one of the ultimate old person/mom foods. Now it's on my too-small surgery recovery allowed foods list. Where did it all go so wrong? We used to call it Creamy Feet. Only Dad ate it. I've not touched that stuff in over 45 years.

We kept our 3g slider phones until they shut down the 3g service. I was the only software engineer I knew who didn't have a smartphone. This is the model we had:

I've had to do fiber supplements since 2002 (when I was 33) when I was diagnosed with diverticulitis (which lead to a perforated colon and me being hours away from dying form toxins leaking into my system). I started with Metamucil, then to Benefiber and now it's fiber gummies (along with my daily vitamins in gummi form). But I've never eaten Cream of Wheat. Mrs. MRP likes it for breakfast in the winter at times, so we have some in the house, but I never have it. -M

Even when I had Covid (at the height of the pandemic) and I worked from home, I was appearing in Court. So I wore a button down shirt, a tie and a sport coat. Lawyers are gonna lawyer.

Never had Cream of Wheat, but when I was little, my mom used to make us Cream of Rice for breakfast - she made it with cooked milk instead of water, and then put cinnamon on it. Haven't had it since I was in my early teens, but I remember liking it quite a bit.

I can't have Cream of Wheat in the house because my wife is so sensitive to gluten, but I've become a devotee of Bob's Red Mill Quick-Cooking Rolled Oats with some granola, inulin, protein powder and ghee added.
One thing I've noticed: I can unroll some things, like my sleeping bag for example - but I can't unroll an oat. Once it's a rolled oat, it stays rolled.
