Just wanted to say hello. I posted a little years ago on the old forum but recently mostly just lurked. Despite still enjoying new comics I also have a great love for older ones, mainly Superboy, the legion and spider-man, so its great to have a place to discuss these now with the changes on CBR We're glad to have you, bor! |

Mormel signing in, gang. Nice job of you guys setting up a brand new forum in so little time after CBR's forum-wipe and reboot.
I'll be checking out this board frequently. Still kinda hoping that Jonah and the admin team will undo their removal of the Classic board.

Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts! So happy to see everyone sticking together. Over on my maps-in-comics blog, it's Batman Week, which means Batcaves and Wayne Enterprises galore through Sunday. I'd recently planned on slowing down my updates to the blog, but then I found a bunch more maps, and now I'm suddenly queued out for the next three weeks. Funny how that works. I'll crest over 250 maps pretty soon, and there are hopefully many more to come. |

Although I suppose FCBD is about new comics, I'm going to a local shop for their back issue sale they're having that day. It's a pretty insane sale where everything becomes at most $2. Most things will either be $.50 or a $1, I'll most likely be filling holes, but I'll be trying to pick up whole runs if I can. Perez Wonder Woman here I come  |

I'm not going back no matter what Jonah decides. Cei-U! I summon the line in the sand! Agreed. I want the community to be hosted by somebody who cares about it. Shaxper is perfect. If it becomes too much work for him, hopefully somebody else equally invested can take over. They did restart It in a sense.They added the classic forum to the independant forum. |

Yes they appended the words "And Classics" to the independant forum so its one big goulash of Dynamite,Valient,My Little Pony,CBR news item comments and now older books. Another fail

I am an admin on a couple of other proboards and yeah, the stars just measure how much activity you had. Everyone pretty much ignores them on the boards I admin anyways. Shax, since I am already familiar with how some of the admin stuff works on proboards, if you need any help just let me know, I'll be glad to help out. -M Poof! Since we apparently have no restrictions on post length anymore, would there be any interest in my posting my DC novel "Lash House" here (the forum, that is, not this thread)? At a rate of, say, a chapter a day? Don't know what the logistics would be. Would we want a discussion thread? Or have I just tapped into everyone's secret fear that I'm actually an enormous egomaniac desperately craving validation? I'd just like to reward y'all somehow for the solidarity this crew has demonstrated in the last 24.

Just a reminder for those of use who care about new stuff at all, Saturday is Free Comic Book Day-woot woot! I'll be manning a table for the studio I edit for at our local shop in town promoting our self-published stuff. Have to make sure I snag the Rocket Raccoon freebie for my wife (she loves fictional raccoons and has loved Rocket in all the trailers). -M I'm helping out my LCS with their Free Comic Book Day; been doing it for the past 3 years now. We have a few artists and writers hanging out signing and sketching as per usual. We're having food trucks outside the store, live band play later on in the day. Its going to be fun. |

I read about what happened with that Titans cover but I never imagined it would spiral into Doing a "Crisis" on Cbr. I took it as "the straw that broke the camels back" not just a singular incident but a steady decline for years where finally Jonah had had enough. Honestly don't see what the two have to do with each other. |
