Held a real revolver in my hand this morning...after its owner emptied out the ammo of course...
Gun laws over here are a pain in the ass but I do want a licensed firearm, if not under my own name, then hubby's.

Wow, high school. I mostly try not to think about that time. I missed my 10 year reunion 4 years ago, but maybe I'll hit the next one. I pretty much already keep in touch with most everyone I care about from HS, and most of my friends at the time weren't at my school. Plus, Facebook and social media seems to have replaced the need for reunions. Mostly I didn't want to go because my wife was out of town, and I didn't want to show up alone.

I went to my 20th reunion 20 years ago - which means it's time for the 40th. My curiosity was satisfied 20 years ago; I feel no need to fly across the country again.

I've never been to a reunion. I'm not even sure how many our class has had. All but two of my friends were older or didn't graduate, and I haven't seen or spoken to either of those guys in over a decade.

Yesterday was my high school graduation. It still feels like high school isn't over though. Congrats!

Yesterday was my high school graduation. It still feels like high school isn't over though. Congrats! Mine, I learned a few years ago, occurred either (depending on which source one goes with) the day before or the day of Star Wars' release, which in retrospect means that I was fated to ... well, not amount to much of anything, really. Oh, well. My mother stood in line to see Star Wars 9 1/2 months pregnant with me because my father convinced her it was worth it. It wasn't many weeks after that she gave birth to 12 lb 4 oz me. At home. With just our doctor.

No Stewie updates so I hope that means the little guy is slowly recuperating, getting back his appetite and strength. Maybe some Tom and Jerry cartoons to lift his spirits

Spent a half hour dealing with microsoft over security enhancements they're adding to Hotmail email accounts. They do needlessly bassackwards and if you don't resolve it,your account gets locked.Between that and the wonkieness going on with this board earlier, I'm beginning to miss the easy days of rotary phones

Due to "an act of god" (meaning a series of horrible thunderstorms that killed 5 people) all train traffic in my state is down at least until noon. So I can't go to work. Just got back from the train station where I found out. This is 300 yards from where my brother lives:

Hey Pip, where was that ? That pic was taken in Düsseldorf. I live in Wuppertal, my boyfriend in Cologne. The storm passed all three cities, and then some.

Glad to hear you, your boyfriend, and your brother are OK, although it is very sad to hear about the five who lost their lives. Hopefully things will get cleaned up and you can get back to your regularly-scheduled lives as soon as possible.

Thanks. These storms followed the hottest weekend ever recorded on the Pentecost weekend here in Germany. So I guess we should get used to more extreme weather patterns like these.
