I did some quick googling on that time traveler photo. Apparently it is not photoshopped, it's just a matter of people today being surprised that someone in the 1940's dressed casually instead of wearing a suit and fedora at all times. The guy certainly has a modern sensibility in his style, but everything he is wearing was also worn in the 1940's.
My scientific conclusion: Not a time traveling hipster, just someone who was very hip for his time.

I do realize that this pic is 8 years later than the one above but here is William S. Burroughs looking all Don Johnson in 1949.

Is this a time traveller caught on video from an old Charlie Chaplin movie clip speaking on a cell phone? They solved this one. It's an old-style listening device for those hard of hearing.

Would that be the same device seen here about 10 years later in 1938 of a group of women leaving a Dupont factory in Massachusetts?

Speaking of time travel, I dug out my Back to the Future trilogy DVD box set a few days ago and watched the films with my wife. She is from Hong Kong and had never seen the films, but knew that they were popular. She enjoyed them. It was good to sit down and watch the films that really sparked the imagination and sense of wonder in me as a child. I had seen the films dozens of times (especially the first), but they never get old for me and it's always good to watch them once a year or so. I go back and forth on Back to the Future being Robert Zemeckis best film compared to Forest Gump.

Howdy. I'm now chatting here more because I got my first ever ban from CBR. That place has gotten bad... What I don't understand is people getting banned for the least things, but they feature on their front page articles about Joker's "boner" and an extremely exicited Spider-Man statue (http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2014/06/nsfw-spider-man-statue-removed-after-arousing-complaints/). Standard are one thing, but consistency would be nice too. When posting in threads there now, there's usually at least a couple usernames with "banned" under their username per page.

20 years ago today OJ Simpson was racing down the freeway in his white Ford Bronco. I still remember that the surreal moment on the television. Everyone was watching that day, and in the coming months there was so much speculation as to whether he did it or not followed by OJ mania with books, movies, tv documentaries, catch phrases, and people associated with the case turning into over-night celebrities. Ultimately when the verdict was announced it was clear that racial relations played a huge role for the supporters and detractors. I also recall someone having a bumper sticker that said "Free OJ"

There was this great documentary part of ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary series called June 17, 1994 that was about just how crazy that day was with the Knicks & Rockets in the NBA Finals, the opening of the World Cup, Arnold Palmer's last round in the U.S. Open and the NY Rangers' Stanley Cup victory parade.

I'm a little annoyed. I have this DS9 gold edition that I was going to place on ebay when I discovered it was signed in the lower right hand side of the cover. I don't know whose signature it is.
