Sorry to hear of your beloved Greta's passing, hondo. It's so true that our pets become integral parts of our family, and their deaths hit us just as hard sometimes. I'll be praying for strength and comfort for you and your family (even Hildie) during your time of mourning.

Sorry for your loss hondo. I know how empty a house can feel after the loss of a beloved pet. Stay strong.

My sincere condolences, Hondo. Greta was beautiful and, obviously, well loved. May she rest in peace.

Mixed emotions here.
Captain, glad to hear about your new job. Great to see your faith rewarded.
Hondo, sorry about your furry friend. They become a part of your life, and your other dog's life, and leave a huge hole when they're gone.

Thank you all so much. I teared up reading all of your postings.
Life is fragile and we all forget that sometimes.
Hug someone you love and tell them you love them.
Susan, Hildie, Greta and I all thank you, my virtual family, so much.

Family pets give us their unconditional love and loyality and become part of the family The saddest thing is that their life spans are so much shorter than our own But all dogs (and cats) go to heaven. When I fill up my pet's food bowl I'll put a bit extra inside for those who are not here

Sorry for your lose hondobrode. These Guys do really become part of your Family. My Family has always had dogs since before I was born so I undestand the feeling when one of them goes. My Father + Family on that side has had a dog now for 13 years and although he is getting old he is still pretty fresh. Its going to be extremely hard for us all when he does go, although I think it will be worst for my youngest sister who was only 2 when we got him and dont remember a time before him. I hope you and your Family will get through this fine.

Almost forgot to submit my midterm grades today. Apparently, that's a fireable offense despite no one knowing why we need to enter them into the system instead of just distributing them ourselves.

I've had such a horrendous series of bad luck and tragedies, upheavels and misfortunes these past few months. Death of my mother, relocation to a new apartment, pc hard drive giving up the ghost-it's just one after the other. And it's not getting better. I'm due for dental surgery next week. Oh joy, oh joy. The way it's going, the drill will slip out of the surgeons fingers
Here's another. Last week I decided to get new glasses. It's been awhile. So I walk into the store and made an appointment for an eye exam which is scheduled for Thursday at noon
Last night something must have gotten into my left eye.No matter what I did I couldn't remove it. An eyelash, a speck of dirt, I don't know. Eye drops didn't help at all. So I went to sleep
This morning it was worse. My eye got puffy and irritated. I could see it was beginning to get a bit discolored and swollen on my face under the eye. Had to go to 2 seperate stores before I found some eyewash. That seemed to have done the trick. Fill up that little cup with the solution. Press your eye against the cup, tilt your head back, open your eye and revolove it around.
But my eye is still puffy and now I'm worried the eye doctor won't want to give me the exam until it's 100% better. Can I recover in time for the Thursday appointment? Not the way my karma's been working lately
And my new laptop is due to be at the store tomorrow ready for pick-up. Any bets thats really gonna happen. Can't see the status on-line so I'll call them tomorrow. And do you think I'll have a frustration-free experience setting it up? Not on your life, I'll betcha. It will be my first Windows 10 which will also try my patience I'm sure
Especially if I have to do this squinting like Popeye The Sailor Man
