Legion M is a fan-owned media company, essentially using a crowdfunding model to allow fans to invest in media projects they like, with potential loss/profit as any other investment. Here's their website Apparently Stan Lee has endorsed this too. I wasn't aware of it until I learned one of our local creators, Victor Dandridge Jr. had entered and his pitch was selected to be included on one of their shows (the winners to be included on the episodes were announced tonight, Vic was selected to be featured on episode 2). It's an interesting concept. It's not like Kickstarter where you get a product by backing the campaign, but instead you invest in the project. If it is successful and makes money, you can get a return on investment, if not, you may lose like any other investment. These are not fan made films, just fan financed films. I'm still sussing out the nuts and bolts how it works, but I thought it was an interesting concept some here might be interested in. -M

Apparently Stan Lee has endorsed this too. Well, if demure Stan is lending his name to the endeavor, it must be something special. Sorry, pal. You know I have problems with impulsive exhortations. Even so, I did visit the website. It has some very cool content. Thanks for this.
