10. The Demon BearApparently designed by Bob McLeod originally, we are goin' with the Bill Seinciwicz version. As much an abstract blot as a design, this is still one of the most primallyterrifying things I have EVER seen in comics. Just a huge swirling mass of black with only teeth and (huge-HUGE) claws visible. I can't imagine a better representation of our repressed-caveman fear of the creatures waiting in the dark....

^^^That was very lyrical, Reptisaurus! Also, absolutely true.

10. Shuma-Gorath A giant grotesque floating eye with tentacles if that doesn't immediately sell the character to you I don't know what else will. I love the terrifying Lovecraft vibe the character feels like something straight out of the Cthulhu Mythos. I think originally a Robert E. Howard character that would later be adapted in Marvel Premiere by Steve Englehart and Frank Brunner as a Doctor Strange adversary.

I've been keeping my list flexible. I know we can duplicate our picks, but (at least in the early stages) I'd rather go with characters that haven't shown up yet. So when Crimebuster chose 9-Jack-9, who had been my #12, I switched him out and brought in Ultra-Humanite. And now that James has chosen Gladiator, I'm reworking things again. It mixes the list up more, and keeps things more interesting for me.
But once we hit the top 5, forget about it. Those guys are carved in stone.

My #10 - Ruby Thursday
Thursday Rubinstein was a scientist who decided to replace her head with a sphere of malleable material, as you do. No lab accident, nobody did it to her; she just thought having a flexible red ball for a head would be cool. Gotta love that, right? She's gone through a couple of outfits; I prefer the original. But let's face it, the main stand-out part of this design is that head. And it's just freaking awesome. It makes her look inhuman, but strangely alluring at the same time. (Or is that just me?) The lack of features makes her mysterious. Sleek, futuristic, compelling; it has the domed look of Mysterio (who almost made my list too), but it's an actual part of her, which makes it more powerful. And she can mix it up, use it as a weapon. Almost makes me wish head spheres were a thing.

Jesse & Jeddak ... unreal picks and so is Reptisaurus! of whom that I've never, ever heard of this character at all. He's menacing and those claws are highly deadly. Nice Picks Everyone!

Say, are Ruby Thursday and Shuma-Gorath related?

10. JuggernautIs there any better armoured villain costume out there? Well my front runner might have one (hint hint) but him aside, I don't think so. I also really just like his helmet for some reason. It is just a great look and once again, one that needs no changing because of how strong it is. In the 90's, some variations overdid the muscles but for my money, any cover with the Juggernaut has me wanting it because he is just a cool lookin' villain!

Actually, I am wondering if my top selection and Juggernaut have ever battled...if so, when I do reveal my number one choice, I would love to hear if they have because that would be an issue I would want to own.

@mechagodzilla, I hope you saw this! ^^^ I've thought of him and pinkfloydsound17 did a great pick and I just don't want to be to obvious and pick a character that was once my username for some time being. I would felt prejudice towards it. I've admired pinkfloydsound pick here and glad that he selected him not me and I just felt it would be too easy for me to include him because of my past username. Thanks for pointing him out and tagging me.

10. SwarmA swarm of radioactive mutant killer bees animating the skeleton of a Nazi mad scientist and directed by his consciousness is one of those concepts that could only work in comic book. There is something undeniably creepy about the visual of a humanoid figure composed of millions of smaller living creatures; a creepiness that is only magnified when those creatures have the capacity to harm you (and are a creature that many people have a phobia regarding). The gloves make sense as an accessory, as they would make it far easier to grasp objects when your hands are composed of hundreds of bees. The cape and cowl are probably less justifiable, but they look cool.
