Just some hypothetical comic book movies you would love to see in the future. Ideal choices for Director, cast, etc.
The Punisher (2 hour movie based on Garth Ennis’ Punisher MAX arc, The Slavers)
Starring: Jon Bernthal Director: Paul Verhoeven Writer: Garth Ennis
Legend of Conan
(An aging and withering Conan recounts past glories to his small grandchildren as Thoth-Amon and his minions mount their final assault on his kingdom....no clue who would play young Conan.)
Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger Director: Mel Gibson Writer: Roy Thomas
The Dark Knight Returns
(Pretend as if Batman v Superman never even happened and do a more direct adaptation of Miller’s classic.)
Starring: Michael Keaton Director: Denis Villeneuve Writer: Hampton Fancher & Paul Dini

Harbinger (Valiant Comics)
A quality CG Uncle Scrooge film more faithful to Barks than to Duck Tales
Lone Sloane
More Tintin films!
Grant Morrison's 7 Soldiers of Victory, but with a tighter, less Morrisony resolution.

Deathlok the Demolisher: done without any connection to the MU as the post apocalyptic science fiction movie it was always meant to be.
Kamandi the Last Boy on Earth. this would be total funtastic fantasy adventure!
Mister Miracle: With or without all of the 3rd World/Darkseid/New Gods stuff. This if done properly would be an incredible movie series of the ultimate escape artist defying the odds.
Shade the Changing Man/Woman: oh what craziness could be done CGI with the reality altering M-Vests and have it be about them as a couple from the future or alternate reality who are separated in transition to our Earth where they are fishes out of water trying to find one another and return to their home.
Etrigan the Demon: horror from Hell on Earth!
Metamorpho: the man of elements struggling with his humanity while fighting to save the world with his wondrous abilities.
Monsieur Mallah and the Brain: What will we do today Brain my lover? Why we do what we always try to do every day Mallah my love: TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD. Comedic gold here folks!!!

Either a Magik solo or a New Mutants film where they fight Belasco and the Limbo demons.
Most of the idea I have would actually work better as tv shows than as movies.
An adaptation of the Chuck Dixon 90s Robin series starring Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown.
An adaptation of the Peter David 90s Supergirl series starring Linda Danvers.
A continuation of the Lois and Clark series from the 90s.

Oh, man, I need to visit this section of the forum more often. First I have to say I heartily second every single suggestion made by Cody Starbuck - it's like he was picking my brain when he posted that. Others I totally agree with: Magnus the Robot Fighter and Deathlok.
My own suggestion: Captain Victory - a movie that would simply be an adaptation of Kirby's story arc in the first six issues of the original Pacific series. (Preferably, it would be directed by James Gunn, who I thought did a bang-up job on the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.)
Another one I would have liked to have seen - but, alas, that ship has sailed now - is a Marvel Studios Heroes for Hire movie, starring Power Man, Iron Fist, Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, set in the mid-1970s as an homage to both the martial arts and Black exploitation movies of that period.

I've been kicking this around in my head, trying to think of something that wouldn't just be yet another spandex movie, and it's struck me: Next-Wave! No origins, just straight into the story, and then maybe elaborate on the characters later.
It's got everything - a diverse cast (3 women, one of whom is a POC, 1 man, 1 mechano-American), it's got aliens, it's got monsters, it's got weird secret societies, it's funny. Make it now!

A Nextwave movie would be sweet!

Batman, but done as a golden age period piece.
With guns, purple gloves and sans his “if I kill a murderer there are still the same amount of murderers in the world” motto.

After seeing the live action Jungle Book Disney did my first thought was that Kamandi would look great if done with that kind of animation.

The Sixth Gun. There was an aborted television pilot for it, and it would need long form like a tv series to be done right, but it would make for great viewing.
Helheim would be good too.
Both are written by Cullen Bunn.
