Feel free to join me as I post my wall of the week! Each week I will showcase issues from my collection on my comic wall. I encourage others to do the same if they have a similar set up (be it a wall, a book case, etc.).
Sometimes I will have a theme, sometimes not. Others wanting to post can select their own theme or follow suit. Just thought it would be a unique way to showcase our collecting even more.

I'll join in eventually, once I get the rooms I am redoing in a position to actually put things on display (most things now are shoved in closets or under tarps as I paint the rooms).

Here is the wall of the week for January 8th-14th. Highlighting my recently acquired Omega run plus some Iron Man goodness. These Iron Man issues are the earliest ones I own. Kind of an odd time for Iron Man...I always felt like the covers were just okay and the stories kind of simple for him, almost like they did not know how to use him that well. Hope you enjoy!

I had such a display wall in the house I just moved out of in August, and I rotated it every month. D'oh! No ideal place for one in the new house, unfortunately.

My wall is used for prints bought from the Phoenix Comicon! Rotate them out every few months or so. But I do like the idea of a comic book wall. Just such work digging into the boxes and choosing what to show and what not to show?!?

Just such work digging into the boxes and choosing what to show and what not to show?!? You could share artwork if that is more your thing. Or toys. It is wall of the week, so whatever you so desire! Plus, if you are having trouble what to pick, just put anything and everything up! Or theme it up once in a while...its really open to you. You can participate some weeks and not others. I am just doing it to share and keep me looking at my collection through the course of the year

Were you able to set up a comic room in your new place? That room in your old place was amazing. It didn't really work out. This time around, my space is in the basement, and I don't trust comics to the dampness down there, even with a dehumidifier running in the summer. My kids get the attic because it's essentially a finished crawlspace -- tall enough for them but not for me. They let me keep my comics up there for the dryness, and I let them keep their toys in the basement, but I really don't have a comic hang out space anymore. I go up to the attic to get my books and come downstairs to read them. I do have a spinner rack in my bedroom, but that's as geeky as I want to make that space. My dork lair is definitely the basement

I actually like my new space even better; just no comics due to the humidity. I don't mind having to walk up a flight of stairs to get them. The comic boxes were probably my least favorite part of the old room, and I use the spinner rack for my To-Read pile, so I rarely need to go into them anyway.

Creating a comic wall is something I wanted to do, need to find some money to set up and buy shelving. At moment I just have some artist signed special addition comics in frames on my wall. Took so long to fit correct and hang im not taking them down to rotate lol.

Some day (in like 10 years when my kids move out) their room is going to be my display area.. for now, things are just stacked nicely (if not prettily) in the attic

Thank you. I noticed as I was putting them up how the logo changes...I don't like when they moved away from the red, blue and white. Glad they eventually returned to it. Also, I need to get the other Steranko issues plus more between #150-200.
