I was a big baseball card collector in the late 80s to mid 90s. My love for the card collecting and the game itself waned after the ‘94 strike. My love for the game eventually came back, the card collecting never did.

Vintage LampsMy Mother actually decorated our home with vintage lamps and she is very fond of lamp that the lampsticks were made of brass and designed just like the one pictured above. Those were here favorites ... then in certain rooms in our home she decorated our home with lamps like this one and these lamps were in our Television Room and Recreational Room that we used for parties for me and my three older brothers. The lamp that I'm talking about the lamp pictured below and those are her favorites also. Later on, my Mom developed an acquired taste for these lamps that are suited for her taste and rightly so. She loves blues, greens, and her favorite color is aqua for its charm and exquistic taste. She also loves unique tops ... and knowing her she would buy this lamp pictured below for sure! In my own bedroom she decorated my room with this kind of lamp (pretty close to accurate here) she puts one on my nightstand near my bed and one by her sewing machine - my bedroom is quite large and she occasionally go to my bedroom to fix clothing and make dresses and skirts for herself. She got these at JC Penny's on sale and the base were bigger and the wood was lighter and that's pretty sums up the lamps in my bedroom. I had two lamps and a small desk lamp for study and that's all the lighting that I had and I didn't even bother turning on the ceiling light at all. My mom basically use that when she sews. Most of these lamps were in the mid-60's to mid 80's ... when, I left home in 1985 ... she got rid of these lamps and got more practical ones like this one pictured below. She loves birds painted on lamps like this one below. That's all on vintage lamps!

Vintage Garden Tools that I've used a lot from 1968 to 1998Rake a Trowel for weeds I didn't bother use the rake tool here but I did use the trowel a lot and that's the most useful tool around of the two. The rake was very useful working around gardens that has rose bushes and certain planets are prone to cut you if you don't wear gloves. Regarding gloves, I didn't care for them at all - except wearing them in the rose garden and around hedges that can give you a paper cut sensation. Trim Grass Cutter Before Weed-Eater ... this was the primary tool to trim edges around grass areas and that's tool is bound to give your hands a crampy feeling ... fortunately I was both right-handed (primary) and left-handed (secondary) and able to use it quite well in both hands and I work a half-hour on one hand and switch operation ... took me a half a day to do the trimming of a quarter of acre of land. Pruners for Roses and other flowers My Mother taught me all the tricks of pruning roses and I've started trimming them around 1980 when my Mom started getting arthritis in her hands and couldn't do it. I had three Rose Gardens to prune and that's took me about a hour and a half to do all three - or 30 minutes each. Again, I was able to use both hands to prune them but - I prefer to use my right hand the most because I don't always prune all three at once. I did one garden a day and that's what I did after school. Hedge Cutters Hedge Cutters - Use these on a monthly basis pruning our hedges and I was a master of pruning them and was the fastest in our family because I learned how to do hedges at a young age of nine years old watching my Dad doing it. When, I was at that age, I took over the job using a six foot ladder and I managed to convince my Dad that I can do it quickly and effortlessly and it's takes me two days to do the entire yard. Pruners I used these pruners for trees - especially Apple and Cherry Trees in our yard and I didn't like pruning these trees because they take a long time to do so. Every Fall ... I usually take the entire month of November to do all the trees in our yard and that's pretty much a very difficult job to do so. My Dad was faster than me and he usually get called for the job and so did my older brother that lived with me (he's four years older than me) and he loved doing so.

I was a big baseball card collector in the late 80s to mid 90s. My love for the card collecting and the game itself waned after the ‘94 strike. My love for the game eventually came back, the card collecting never did. That's more or less true of me, too, though I stopped collecting card when I went off to college in 1987. I lost interest in baseball after the 1994 strike, but the 1995 playoffs (and Kenny Lofton, in particular) got me back into baseball.

Ocean Park Washington Vacation Plans this Summer
I'm thinking of going to Ocean Park Washington and spend a week in August exploring that area and renting a four wheel drive Jeep for a week and having fun down there. It's a 4 hours drive from Seattle to Ocean Park and I'm thinking of leaving Seattle around 4 am in the morning and stopping at Raymond for a bite of eat at Sheila's Kountry Kitchen for Biscuits and Gravy and Coffee. Great Cafe and I'll probably eat there for Dinner. Fantastic Fish and Chips! ... Originally located in Long Beach Washington and moved to Ocean Park and according to my memory Ocean Park Resort and Anita Cafe is about a good 15-20 minutes walk ... I'll walk there whether it's sunny or not. Get my food and stuff for my vacation at Jack's Country Store ... one of the best stores around and the staff is very friendly and help you get the stuff that you need for your vacation! My brother knows the owner of this resort and he'll get me a great deal for 5 nights stay there and rent a kitchenette so that I can have my Breakfast here and visit the Leadbetter Farms Lighthouse ~ Ocean Park, WA and that's one cool lighthouse ... here's the picture below: Before, I leave Ocean Park, I'll stop by at Paradise Pizza ... Great Place for Pizza ... My favorite pizza there is Canadian Bacon and Pineapple Pizza ... one of the best that I eaten ... Thinking of leaving August 24th and coming back home on the 30th!

1941 Vintage Gillette Ranger Tech RazorMy first Razor Blade I used this for about 3 years until I got my first electric razor of which it was a Braum that looks similar to this razor below and used it pretty much in the late 70's to the 1991. That razor shown above was very smooth and very dependable and may not be best one for everyone to use for that purpose. But, I like it because it's works well for me for three years and I had to go to an electric one because of my busy schedules and all ... College, Work, Dating, and the whole nine yards ... figure of speech here. Then, for the next 30 years ... I had a full beard and back to shaving using a blade and sporting a mustache since 2007 that the year that I left Boeing for good. Right Now ... I use this Razor Blade every other day for maintenance ... called the Gillette Fusion Blade - works great on my face and moves quite well and effortlessly. I go through about blade every three weeks ... so 8 blades shown here could last a half a year if I play my cards right.
