The Star Wars soundtrack is one of the first LPs I bought in my life... And it is the Star Wars soundtrack, with none of that A New Hope nonsense! I could probably whistle it from beginning to end, much to my better half's annoyance! Anyway... Listening to it right now while preparing next week's classes from the comfort of my cool basement.

Ooooooh new cd received 2 wks ago playing this morning. Rock band The Ferryman. 1st song End of Road. 1st lines: dont stand in my way I am on a mission dont stop me now. Walking thru the fire they can never touch my soul. At the end of the road I can reach the mountains now and touch the sky. Dont stand in my way!
Truly speaking to me as I type up and turn in my resignation to the hospital today!

Of the things I was expecting in life, a cover of "Chevy Van" by Dale Watson was not one of them. But it's clearly something I needed.

“Imagine” by John Lennon was on the radio earlier. I have never understood the appeal of that song, which I consider to be preachy and dreary.
The Beatles are before my time. But I do like them. And I have enjoyed some of the Beatles’ solo stuff. But the appeal of “Imagine” baffles me. Of course, each to their own, though.

Had the audio file before, but now got the actual cds....99% sure you won't find this is any stores. Recorded before I was born but I love early 80s new romantic music....also impressed that although much of the International Postal services are hampered by Rona, this got to me in 4 days via Fed Ex

Romance in F minor, by Antonin Dvorak. Dvorak is not all about the New World Symphony and Slavonic Dances! It's rare that a composer will not produce at least a few pieces that I don't care for... but I can't think of anything bad by Dvorak.

Getting sludgy with Alice in Chains today, the most tolerable band by far to come out of the grunge movement.

I'm listening to a dishwasher on the floor above going through it's cycles and it reminds me of Elgar somehow.

One of the reasons why I listened to classic rock stations during my teen years, had a distinct sound that you couldn't get anywhere else
