Apparently the rapper Ice-T made a rap/metal fusion band in the early 90s. I'm listening to it now. This might be one of the greatest things ever as long as your sense of humor is intact. Group is called Body Count.

Ah, Badfinger. The classical Greek tragedy of rock bands. Their biggest hit was a cover by Harry Nilsson which won a Grammy, for Nilsson. Their 1974 album Wish You Were Here (ring a bell?) was withdrawn by Warner Bros. just weeks after its release, cutting off the band's income, and then a despondent Pete Ham chose suicide over a protracted legal battle. Nine years later, guitarist Tom Evans would follow his band mate into oblivion. Boys, we hardly knew ye.
