One of the more under-rated Stones albums, IMO. Never liked that cover, though.

Nick Cave's "Murder Ballads" in its entirety. This album is so great. It's not even one of his best albums, but it is.♡ Which are the best Nick Cave albums to start with? I've never really listened to his music enough to get a handle on it. I'm not quite sure how to advise on this because I don't know what you like. Murder Ballads was my first Nick Cave album. And I'm glad it was, because looking back, now I think, "If you can make it through Murder Ballads and still like him, the rest of his stuff is thoroughly enjoyable." Murder Ballads is his raunchiest of works, I think. If you can listen to that, and not be creeped out, and still have respect for him as an artist, you will like his other stuff well enough. This song shows the tone/mood of most of "Murder Ballads" (NSFW, do not listen to this song at work or in front of children): However, this is probably my most favorite Nick Cave song in all of anything ever, and this is from his album "No More Shall We Part".: This is my favorite off of his album "Tender Prey", which will give you an idea of probably the darkest song on the album, and it is one of his earlier albums: Do you like softer, more mellow songs, or do you like harder, raunchier songs? I can recommend others, too, but do not know your tastes in music, and I don't want to bombard you with too many suggestions.

It depends on the individual song so I'd probably have to say I like both, which isn't much help. But of the three in your post I liked Hallelujah far and away the best - in fact it's the first time I've heard a Nick Cave track that really blew me away as opposed to just thinking "that's interesting". Loved the haunting violin (or viola?) line that repeats throughout. If it's indicative of the rest of that album that's probably the one I'll look for. Thanks for the suggestions.

Here is the track listing for "No More Shall We Part": 01 As I Sat Sadly By Her Side 02 And No More Shall We Part 03 Hallelujah 04 Love Letter 05 Fifteen Feet Of Pure White Snow 06 God Is In The House 07 Oh My Lord 08 Sweetheart Come 09 The Sorrowful Wife 10 We Came Along This Road 11 Gates To The Garden 12 Darker With The Day 13 Grief Came Riding 14 Bless His Ever Loving Heart You can youtube those songs before committing to the entire album. That album guts me. It also (like his other albums) fluctuates between soft and harder songs. I love, to an extent, just about everything Nick Cave has done. I can find something in every song that I appreciate. However, I am biased. I find him to be one of the sexiest men ever. He's in his, what, 50s or 60s, and I'd still let that man eff my entire world up.

your copy of Divers! No. I got her last one on vinyl, but that was when my husband had time to transfer the tracks onto the computer for me. I just ordered the CD. My life is not set up for vinyl listening, unfortunately.

Neither of those are good for listening to vinyl. I have a record player that I can plug into my computer. But I have not had time to mess with it.
