George Perez Perez is definitely great at drawing big set pieces in such a way that it doesn’t look too cluttered.

I like how in action group shots which include the Flash, we always get the snapshot in time where he has just caught up with the group (that Barry, always running late), and will presumably be way ahead of everyone else in the next second.

It's pretty cool that DC had both Joe Kubert and Jim Aparo pencil and ink all their books (were there others?). Some Marvel artists did that for short stints, John Bucema on Conan and Wolverine, Sal on Spec Spider-Man, Romita here andthere. But not for the bulk of their work, like DC did with Kubert and Aparo.

- Mark Bagley
- John Byrne (pre-'90s; I find his output since then very hit-and-miss)
- Will Elder
- Kerry Gammill
- Tom Grummett
- Kelley Jones (pre-'00s; I don't care for how sloppy his style's become)
- Jack Kirby
- Mike Mignola
- Jerry Ordway
- George Perez
With today being his 100th birthday, I figured it was a perfect time to add Kurt Schaffenberger to my list. I just love the way he drew women, Lois Lane in particular. He's the definitive Lois artist in my book.
