The results are as follows: Nominated and Seconded:codystarbuck@mrp CrimebusterSlam_BradleyRoquefort Raider_____________________________________________________________________________________ The original post: (See the Advance Warning before participating) Nominations for The Uatu Award (Most knowledgeable member)1. Please post no more than one nomination for a member who you feel contributed the most knowledgeable posts in our fourth year of the CCF (between April 30th, 2017 at 9:22pm EST and April 30, 2018 at 9:21pm EST). 2. You must explain why you are nominating this person. 3. Please second no more than one nomination made by another member. You may not second your own nomination. 4. Any member receiving both a nomination and a second will be included in the final ballot for this award on July 1st. 5. Nominations and Seconds for this round conclude on June 27th. 6. Absolutely NO negative talk about another member, nor another member's nomination. The very purpose of this event is to salute our members for all they contribute to this community. Though only one member will ultimately receive this award, you have the potential to thank and maybe touch any member you choose to nominate or second. Please don't use this opportunity to hurt or deflate someone. PLEASE NOTE: Cei-U!, our three-time winner of this award, has humbly requested to be dropped from consideration for this year. In his words, "It's someone else's turn". As this event belongs to the community and not to the administration, you still have the right to nominate and second Cei-U!, but I would ask you to consider his request. So start your nominating!

I nominate codystarbuck for this award. He has surprised me with this deep understanding of the history and the important creators that have made this hobby great. It's more than a surface knowledge and it's illuminating to read his posts.

I'd like to nominate @mrp , whose knowledge of comics as an art form is impressive enough, but whose command of the business and marketing side of comics is wide-ranging and always informative. His answers are logical, clear, insightful, and, more often than a not, a bracing shot of reality to those of us who sometimes think that a combination of nostalgia and wishful thinking equal a good business plan.

In the Classic Comics Discussion Sub-Board - sabongero, has started so many threads and he's really into Comic Books and having said that -- his knowledge of DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and major others publishers -- is outstanding that he's takes care of things (and explained them quite clearly) and I've learned so many things that I just lost count(s) of things that he shared with us. I'm in loss of words in describing the knowledge that he shared with us.

I nominate Slam Bradley, not only do I enjoy his insight on books and film but his occasional legal advice also adds spice to any discussion.

I am nominating Roquefort Raider for the Uatu. His background as a scientist and as a cartoonist brings a unique, informed opinion to many of the conversations he participates in, and his knowledge of the Hyborian Age and the works of Howard is superb, as demonstrated in many threads such as the annotated SSOC thread. His areas of knowledge are broad and deep, making him supremely qualified for this award. -M
