I remember very well when this and some of the other early Frank Miller Daredevil covers first came out, my feeling was that finally some of Marvel's covers were recapturing the simplicity and effectiveness of the 60s covers (I wasn't a fan of the generally more cluttered cover designs of the 70s, with or without word-balloons).
I agree. DD covers from 158-161 were favorite FM covers and Personally his best art. |
