I like how they say 1970 is 20 years after the second World War. Thank goodness that prediction didn't come true! Yeah, Carl Burgos had the Iron Skull stories take place in an alternate timeline in which World War II continued into the 1950s, although the war was just beginning by time of writing.

I just watched the Star Trek episode ‘“The Arena” in which a godlike being places a hero and villain on a specially made battle-world loaded with resources so he can learn by watching them fight.
Seems familiar...

I saw that particular question and my answer was Ronin. That would be a fun appeal during the commercial break if they accepted "samurai" but not "ronin" as a correct answer.

The 1992 promo video from Marvel for the launch of the Midnight Sons imprint
the real curiosity here is the appearance of a young Chris Cooper talking up the event and his book Darkhold long before he went bird-watching in Central Park and became a national phenomenon. Otherwise, it is pretty standard 90s Marvel fare. Though the creators featured look sooooo young (about the same age I was in '92 (i.e. 23).
PS stick around for the Toy Biz Ghost Rider commercial at the end for you toy aficionados.

You cannot possibly fathom how painful this was to watch.
I picked up the first issue of 90's Ghost Rider but it was an easy pass, as was all of this retch.
Where are they now : Chris Cooper, Evan Skolnick, Howard Mackie, Bobbie Chase ...

Where are they now : Chris Cooper, Evan Skolnick, Howard Mackie, Bobbie Chase ... Bobby Chase is one of the top editors at DC, and EIC Bob Harras right hand person. I think she was also in charge of the Black Label line of books. Cooper is currently a senior biomedical editor at Health Science Communications, and was the black man birdwatching in Central Park that had a white woman (Amy Cooper) call the police and lie that a back man was threatening her because he asked her to keep her dog on leash. Evan Skolnick is currently an instructor in the Game Design & Development program at Cogswell College in San Jose, California, and a prominent game writer, with credits on recent titles such as Cuphead: Don’t Deal with the Devil!, Mafia III and Star Wars: Battlefront. Mackie is still freelancing and had a couple of books at DC during the new52 era. So all of them did fairly well for themselves after the Midnight Sons era. -M

Kirby's splash page for X-Men #4 is up for auction, and the auction house scanned both the front and back of the page-the back has Jack's note for alternate names for the Scarlet Witch.. They include: The Witch, Witch Woman, Witch Lady, Lady Witch, Miss Witch, Miss Mystic, Jinx, Siren, Evil Eye, and Sorceress. It seems while the names of the other Brotherhood members were set Wanda's was in flux and Scarlet Witch was a placeholder while they debated options, but ended up sticking. -M

I'm not sure why they would post that photo. If I were a buyer I'd think, why do I have pay so much when it's obviously not very rare. Plus, if you've got 15 copies - you need me as a buyer more than I need you ad a seller, so you'd better cut a deal!
I dunno. Just, why undercut yourself by showing your hand?
