Speaking of Captain Marvel, it particularly caught my attention in Captain Marvel Adventures #13 (July 24, 1942), as while it features Steamboat and his cousin in stereotypical Sambo/minstrel style, the dark-skinned Caribbean natives are drawn more realistically by comparison.
