The stuff I ordered from the Entertainment Earth Summer Clearance sale arrived this weekend. I picked up 5 of the Flash Gordon movie 3 3/4 retro style action figures done by Biff Bang Pow... Ming, Flash, Vultan, Aura and Prince Barin. I also snagged tie Convention exclusive 35th anniversary Battlestar Galactica Collector Tin (read lunchbox) that had 3 exclusive 8 inch retro Mego style figures inside, also by Biff Bang Pow.... There's different art on each face, and the sides, but that was my favorite image. And the figures inside... Boxey, Muffit and the weird three faced singers form the Ovoid planet in the original movie. MY Lonestar order with order also arrived, so see What Classic Comics Have You Purchased lately for more new goodies. -M

I don't usually do Funko Pops, but I was at 2nd & Charles and had some money left on a gift card so couldn't resist these... Prince Vultan... Ming the Merciless... and good ole Doc Strange... I have to snap some pics yet, but I also stopped by Mike's Vintage Toys and snagged a loose Usagi Yojimbo figure from the TMNT line and a pair of Blackstar figures...John Blackstar (without the Trobbit) and Overlord (with demon). Both did have their half of the power sword though... I also stopped by an estate sale that My wife's aunt was running, for a former owner of a card/stationary store and picked up a display spinner rack (not a comics rack, but one about the same height with hanging shelves that can fit 2 comics or magazines side by side on it) for a measly $7.50. I need to clean it up (and probably spray paint it black to match the shelves/fixture color of other stuff in the room I intend to put it in (it's currently that neutral office beige a lot of metal fixtures from the 70s were). I'll try to get pics of it once I clean it up before I paint it. I also snagged a basket with about a score of doll/action figure stands of various sizes and colors in it for $5 while there, which will come in hand as I set up some of the loose figures I have for display. -M

Once I get a few more Magic The Gathering cards sold on eBay to replenish my dwindling monetary supply, I will probably pick one up.

Here' the haul form the Columbus Toy Show this morning... a complete Force Commander from the Micronauts line... more Micronauts goodness... a Space Glider, a Time Traveler and a not quite complete Star Searcher... Force Commander ran $45, the 2 figures were $25 for the pair and the Star Searcher was $15. from the same dealer who had the Star Searcher, I also got a slightly beat up Intruder form the G.I. Joe Super Joe line for $10... I got a pair of the Battlestar Galactica ships mentioned elsewhere in the toy forum as well... The Viper is complete with firing missile and Colonial pilot. The Scarab is incomplete-I inquired about the Viper, but the dealer was selling them as a pair for $20, which three other people were going to pounce on if I didn't snap it up when he quoted me the price, so I snagged both. I got a Conan the Adventurer figure on card (even though the card has seen better days) from the Conan animated series for $15... and discovered a toy line I never new existed: Tarzan the Epic Adventures from the mid-90s. It's called Tarzan but half the line is Barsoom figures. I picked up a 2 pack featuring Dejah Thoriss for $15... it was the first time I had seen or heard of this line. Ironically, the next dealer I went to (where I got the Conan figure) had 5 of the sets, and offered me all 5 for $90, but I was at the end of my budget for the day and couldn't swing it, so I got the Conan from him instead, then grabbed a handful of 4/$1 comics and the Kubert treasury (see the COmics acquisition thread) on my way out to the car to finish off my spending stash for the day. There were lots of interesting stuff, very heavy on vintage Star Wars, Star Trek (everyone was pushing the 50th Anniversary, 3 3/4 GI Joe, Transformers, an wrestling figures, plus just about every Marvel Legends or Diamond select figure you could ask for and a ton of Funko Pops, but I wasn't really in the market for any of that (I had half an eye out for the Phantom and Space Ghost pops but no onehad those 2). There were also a crap ton of vintage video games and systems for sale, but again, I wasn't inthe market for that. Still a good show overall. -M

I recall seeing this line when it first came out but I passed it over because none of the figures looked like the Tarzan I knew (I grew up watching the Filmation cartoon) and also this was at the same time that the Star Wars line was relaunched so all my money was already spoken for. as for me, I just got the Flash season 2 Soundtrack CD and I'm catching up on my Wonder Woman Archive Editions Volume 4 should be arriving in a day or two, five and Seven are easy enough to get but volume 6 may take a while

From the C4 (Champion City Comic Con) today... The Thundarr commission I posted about earlier... done by Justin Wasson, you can check out more of his stuff here on his facebook art pageI also commissioned a Micronauts sketch cover featuring Biotron from Dave Aikins... Dave is better kown for his work on shows like Dora the Explorer and Spongebonb, but also did the illustrations for the popular Zombie boardgame form Twilight Creations. He's done comic work for Moonstone on Kolchak, Buckaroo Banzai and others and it is a vastly different style from his animation work. You can check out his art hereHere's a pic of Dave from another show... the ironic thing about this commissionhe told me, was that he had recently bought a stack of the Micronauts blank sketch cover because he loved the toys and wanted to do a few for himself for fun, but I asked him for the Biotron commission before he had a chance to do any of the ones he bought for himself. I also made arrangements and gave the black cover to one of the guys I know from Twilight Star Studios to do a Shadow commssion for me, which I will pick up later in the year. I also picked up a couple of action figures-an older Domammu figure and a fairly recent Cylon figure from Battlestar Galactica in the classic style, complete with a button to push to light up the red eye, and a Space Ghost Funko Pop. I also got a bunch of comics and mags, I'll post them in the What Classic Comics Have You Purchased thread here in a few minutes... -M

Velma and Dracula... and Shaggy and the Wolfman.... there's a second Scooby 2 pack with the Phantom Racer which I passed on-don't need 2 Scooby Doos, and Fred only comes withthe Mystery Machine, which they didn't have... -M

I got this really cool 90's Tomy transformer figure called Gekiryuger recently. This thing is very rare, I've never actually seen it in the wild or on eBay but found one complete and in box! But the best part is that it is the last figure I needed to combine Great Ganbaruger! This is a giant multi-figure robot, easily the biggest figure I own. Not as big as a Fort Max but it's up there.

Yes Great Goldran is indeed amazing. Very hard to acquire these days and very expensive. We're talking thousands! Really?? I think I paid $120 for mine a decade back. Of course, it was the Korean version, but the quality is exactly the same. Still, it's one of the most impressive combiner robots ever created. If any toys is going to sell for that much, Goldran deserves it.

I have seen three of them at my LCS.
