I stumbled onto this carrying case on eBay as I was doing some other toy shopping, it reminds me of all the generic type stuff you'd see back in the day in addition to the regular major licensed properties. Obviously targeting the Star Wars crowd, I've seen this documented as appearing during the early 80's (no date on the case itself). It has 2 trays, I've filled the top one already with various vintage and "modern retro" figures as pictured (the bottom tray only has the narrower spaces).

I have a transformers one, as well as the Star Wars one that doubled as a transport.

Some new toys... First up, "A Tale of Two Blondes". Finally a figure of Cover Girl as she appeared in the original "M.A.S.S. Device" mini-series, I've wanted this forever! It's a ReAction figure versus a true retro spec Joe, but close enough for me. Next up, "A Tale of Two Man-At-Arms". On the left, Mattel's "Eternian Palace Guard" that comes with a head swap (and chest armor and mace) to create classic Man-At-Arms. I also took off the right arm and leg armors to complete the proper look. While it's not exact to the original, it channels it really well including the original clean shaven look which was the actual figure we all had. Really well made too, which makes me sad to report on the flip side, the Filmation style Super7 figure on the right from the Los Amos line is not nearly as nice. It does capture the animated look which I love as well, but it is so less articulated and barely stands, I decided to put it back in the packaging per the last picture. It felt a little bit junky to be honest. Mattel wins this round.

Never had Micronauts toys, but the early comics were brilliant.

When the BBTS box shows up at my house these days, it tends to have more toys for my daughter than myself, I think she has officially taken the "toy collector" mantle over! But in the last shipment, I did still get one figure, a nice retro carded Cantina bandmember figure. And I really did buy it more for the card...totally in the category of "I wish they had made this one when I was a kid".

She's 16 and is my collector buddy It's really cool because she loves tons of modern stuff you might expect from her generation (really big into anime/manga), but totally loves lots of old classics (major Kirby fan!)

For Hanukkah, Owen got me a 3d printed stand for my Transformers Unicron, As well as an mp3 player loaded with Orson Welles drunkenly endorsing Paul Masson champagne to sit at the base and accompany it. For those of you who don't know, Unicron was Welles' final acting role before he died. "AHHHH, The French...!"
