I've got some books pulled to send out--may add another thing or two if I actually go upstairs. Will get it in the mail on Friday.

My shipment won't go out until Saturday. Too much going on this week with work and personal stuff to get into this, and I want to make sure I pick the right items to send my person.

The soonest I can get to the post office will be Tuesday, but I will be sending my gift via Priority mail so it should still be there in plenty of time.

I'm curious why DC, with all their different strata of characters, hasn't done more with Arak ?
That was a pretty good series. I never hear anyone talk about it.

I enjoyed the first 12 issues or so of that series. It seemed like the Roy Thomas DC answer to Conan.

One of Santa's elves dropped something from Santa at my door today... a bunch of Charlton and Gold Key horror books and a wonderful little Batman button to add to my con bag that I carry with me at shows that has a bunch of comic-related buttons on the strap. -M

What with Conan being acquired by Disney / Marvel and integrated into the 616, maybe DC will dust off Arak ?

Disney didn't acquire, Conan, Paradox still owns it. Marvel got the license to use/publish Conan. And Roy had plans to continue Arak as a novel, series of short stories or screenplay (back when he was doing Hollywood on the wings of his Conan screenplay, but couldn't find a taker to run with it, so I am not sure who actually owns Arak, DC or Roy. It was that nebulous time where DC was publishing "creator-owned" books under the DC banner. -M
