Not meaning to rain on the parade, but, this is a pulp cover.
I haven't posted pulp covers in the past because, well, it's the Classic Comics forum, but are we good with posting pulp covers ?
Technically it's not a comic book cover but it's the pre-cursor to comics.
I'm good with it; just wanting to get feedback from the group.
I hesitated posting it since it clearly isn't a comic. I went ahead anyway because while I don't know if I've seen pulps here, I do know I've seen issues of MAD (the magazine version) and decided I was thinking about things too much and went ahead with the above. I also thought the specification that "collected editions" were acceptable gave me a certain amount of room - ie. would the cover of a book such as The Adventures of Superman (Lowther's 1942 work) be acceptable if the subject were 'Superman in Flight'? Honestly? I really don't know. Thinking about it further, it probably shouldn't be actually. I mean, a TV Guide with Adam West's Batman would be stretching things too far or the instruction manual for a Spider-Man toy wouldn't count even if pencilled by Steve Ditko. From here on in, I'll stick to comics/comic magazines/tpbs just to be on the safe side. And there was "no raining on the parade" either - it's a good question and like I said, one I had myself.
Well, are Big Little Books technically comics ? I don't think anyone has ever posted a cover of one but I'm not sure if that would count.
I asked months (years ?) ago if comic fanzines counted. No definitive answer was given only that those that felt it wasn't appropriate wouldn't vote for it.
That's fair, but I'd still like to know if it should be allowable. It was never answered.
I'm going to put up a poll and see if we can get concensus.
Personally, if pulps were allowed, I'd love to be able to post some of those gorgeous old covers !

Congrats MDG on the cool Ghastly cover. When i first glanced at it I thought it was by Wrightson, EC way ahead of their time.
